There are more than 120,000 designated medical institutions on the Internet, and the direct settlement of inter-provincial hospitalization fees covers the whole country

According to the National Medical Insurance Bureau, at present, the direct settlement service for medical treatment and hospitalization costs in different provinces has covered all provinces, all co-ordinated areas, all kinds of insured persons and major out-of-town personnel in the country, and 15 co-ordination areas have realized the direct settlement of 5 kinds of outpatient chronic disease-related treatment costs across provinces.

According to reports, at present, 52,900 designated medical institutions in China have realized direct settlement of hospitalization expenses across provinces. The direct settlement of inpatient expenses and outpatient expenses across provinces and places for medical treatment adopts the policy of "directory of place of medical treatment, policy of place of insurance, and management of place of treatment", and implements "first filing, selecting points, and holding card codes for medical treatment" in the process. From January to November this year, the national hospitalization expenses were directly settled across provinces by 3.9762 million person-times, involving medical expenses of 96.533 billion yuan, the fund paid 56.123 billion yuan, the proportion of fund payment was 58.1%, and the per capita reduction in advance was 14,100 yuan. At the same time, the direct settlement of general outpatient expenses across provinces has also been accelerated. At the beginning of this year, on the basis of comprehensively opening up pilot areas such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the Yangtze River Delta, the National Medical Insurance Bureau and the Ministry of Finance further expanded the scope of inter-provincial direct settlement, adding 15 provinces such as Shanxi as national outpatient pilot provinces, and settlement shifted from regional pilots to comprehensive promotion. By the end of November, all provinces and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had been launched, covering 97.6% of the country's coordinated areas, and there were more than 120,000 designated medical institutions on the Internet.

The direct settlement of medical treatment in different places across provinces shall be managed by the filing system. At present, all coordinated areas in the country can rely on the national medical insurance service platform to achieve cross-provincial inter-provincial filing of off-site medical treatment. The public can directly log on to the national medical insurance service platform APP, the national off-site medical record-filing mini-program or the national government service platform to handle off-site medical record-filing, and can also inquire about relevant information such as medical insurance co-ordination areas and designated medical institutions. In addition, relying on modules such as biometric recognition and family account, medical insurance services such as face brushing and relatives can also be provided. At present, the real-name users of the national medical insurance service platform APP have reached 170 million, including 90 million family accounts, and nearly 700,000 people have successfully filed online.

In addition, through the medical insurance electronic voucher, the insured can realize the national and omni-channel handling of all medical insurance business, effectively improving the efficiency of medical insurance business. At present, the number of authorized users who have activated the omni-channel activation of medical insurance electronic vouchers has exceeded 970 million, with access to more than 340,000 designated medical institutions and more than 370,000 designated retail pharmacies, providing a unified national identity for cross-provincial medical treatment and promoting the masses to purchase medicines from the "card era" to the "code era".
