The successful release and mass production of the product means that the domestic nanoporous gene sequencing technology has entered the marketization process. At the press conference, Dr. Bai Jingwei, co-founder and chief scientist of Qi Carbon Technology, said: "QNome-3841 is the first fully independently developed nanopore gene sequencer to be mass-produced in China, equipped with a proprietary sequencing chip Qcell-384 and a supporting kit. Positioned as a small-throughput sequencer, it is ideal for small laboratories, outdoors and time-sensitive applications. ”

Qi Carbon Technology also announced the official completion of its production base in Chengdu Tianfu International Bio-City. The production base has a total area of about 4,000 square meters, a total of 3 floors, and a total investment of 200 million yuan. The production base plans to put into production products including library building kits, sequencing kits, biochips, nanoporous gene sequencers, etc. After being put into use, 2,000 nanoporous gene sequencers will be produced every year, supporting 1 million test kits and chips.
