The image of Zhenfei in film and television dramas
To say that the most depressed emperor Guangxu in history should be counted as one. Guangxu ascended the throne at the age of four and was the eleventh emperor of the Qing Dynasty. At the beginning of his ascension to the throne, the empress dowagers of Ci'an and Cixi listened to the government, and it was difficult to survive until the age of 18, nominally returning to the government, but in fact the power was still in the hands of Cixi.
The real Guangxu and Zhenfei
Throughout his life, Guangxu was held hostage by Cixi and never held real power. Finally, he couldn't bear it anymore and came to a "Penghu Reform Law", but he was attacked by the conservatives led by Cixi. Guangxu intended to rely on Yuan Shikai to imprison Cixi, but was betrayed by Yuan Shikai, and from then on the Guangxu Emperor was imprisoned by Cixi in Yingtai, Zhongnanhai.
The coffin of Qing Chongling Guangxu
In 1908, Guangxu died violently the day before Empress Dowager Cixi's death, at the age of 38, and was buried in the Qing Chongling Tombs of the Qing Dynasty. The death of Guangxu is known as one of the eight major mysteries of the Qing Palace.

However, after his death, Guangxu did not receive a good death. In 1938, when the soldiers were in chaos, a group of soldiers and bandits excavated the Chongling Underground Palace, and these people were quite familiar with the structure of chongling, skillfully using wood chips to open the tap stones of various stone doors and enter the underground palace, most of which were robbed with burial goods.
There is a hole of about a meter at the coffin
In 1980, an excavation team composed of archaeologists excavated the Chongling Underground Palace of the Guangxu Emperor. It was found that the stone door of the underground palace left traces of tomb robbers using tools to pry the door. Inside the tomb, the front of the coffin of the Guangxu Emperor was cut by an axe to a large round hole of about one meter, and the feet of the Guangxu Emperor were dragged outside the coffin, and the clothes he wore were rotten, with two hair braids, no shoes on his feet, no crown on his head, and the decorations he wore with him were stolen and excavated.
Guangxu held the secret of love in his hand
Just when the archaeologists were disappointed, they found that Guangxu's hands were clenched, as if he was holding something in his hands. So with enough strength, he broke Open Guangxu's clenched hands, and in the right hand of the Guangxu Emperor, a piece of Hetian Jade fell; and his left hand broke open for a long time, but it was a pair of valuable national treasure conjoined jade rings.
It was exactly what Guangxu cherished the most during his lifetime. This treasure symbolizes his love with Zhenfei. Guangxu loved ZhenFei the most, and the late Qing Dynasty palace lady recalled that when the Qing Emperor recruited a woman, in order to ensure the safety of the Emperor, the concubine's clothes were stripped off first, surrounded by a cloak, and the eunuch was carried into the emperor's bedchamber. This is called the back palace. And only when Princess Zhen was invited was to go to the palace. Walking the palace is to treat concubines as beloved and confidants, and to announce Concubine Zhen in the room where Guangxu handles political affairs. Princess Zhen dressed as a man, she could grind ink and hold stones for the emperor, she could also talk to the emperor about the past and the present, and she could also accompany the emperor to play chess.
Princess Jane who walks the palace
In 1900, before Cixi fled west, she let the 24-year-old Zhenfei commit suicide by throwing herself into a well, and Since then Guangxu has never approached a woman. The two rings of jadeite are interlocked, allowing Guangxu to see things and think of people. Cute to death Guangxu is missing Zhenfei.
