This person loves to disobey, and Mr. Peng issued a pardon order: no matter whether it is right or wrong, it will not be investigated! Mrs. Gaoshou was 101 years old
Among the generals of our army, there are not many people who can be called "tiger generals", and we are familiar with Wang Jinshan, who not only fights fiercely, but also has a big temper, but people have real skills, and a little temper has become one of his very attractive personalities. The general I want to talk about today is also a "tiger general", he is very witty and brave in fighting, his personality is flamboyant, he never follows the trend, and it is difficult for others to change the correct policy, so there are often "disobedience" situations.

This general, known for his "disobedience," was Major General Zhong Wei. Zhong Wei, a native of Pingjiang, Hunan Province, was born in 1915, joined the regiment at the age of 14, joined the army at the age of 15, and successively served as a company instructor, regimental political commissar, and director of the division's political department in Peng Zong's Red Third Army and Xu Haidong's Red Fifteenth Army. It is said that in a battle during the Red Army period, Zhong Wei suggested that his superiors change the order, but it was not adopted and suffered a big loss. At that time, everyone in the Red Third Army knew that Zhong Wei was a talent, and the commander of the regiment, General Peng, even issued a pardon order: If Zhong Wei disobeyed, he should be counted as an exception, and regardless of right or wrong, he should not be investigated.
Although Zhong Wei often insisted on his own opinions, his overall view of the overall situation was very good, and he did not hesitate to die, so he was highly appreciated, and later he went to the Second Column of the Northeast Field Army as the commander of the Fifth Division, and at the same time was the only cadre in the entire Four Fields System who was directly promoted from division commander to column commander.
It was during his tenure as a division commander that Zhong Wei did one of the most famous disobediences in his life.
It was the Battle of Paoshantun in March 1947.
Our army launched the Three Lower Jiangnan Campaign, the purpose of which was to first concentrate the main force on annihilating the New 1st Army in the northeast of Dehui.
On the evening of the 8th, Zhong Wei received an order from the Eastern Commandery to advance north to the east of Zhongchang Road and cooperate with the 1st Column to annihilate the enemy of the Big House.
When Zhong Wei led the 5th Division through the north of Chaoyang River, he faintly heard the gunshots of Jiangjiatun and Wang Kuidian in the southwest, accompanied by a chaotic noise. According to reconnaissance, it was learned that the enemy's 88th Division was still in and around Shantun .
Zhong Wei immediately listened to Han Huang and judged: This is an unstable enemy that can be fought!
The second call from the General Manager of dong solemnly ordered Zhong Wei to go to the big room quickly. Zhong Wei, on the other hand, called back and said: Eat this enemy and go immediately.
The 5th Division ate a battalion in Jiangjiatun and a battalion in Wang Kuidian did not move, and retreated to Paoshantun .
Dongzong called for the third time, urging the implementation of the headquarters intention.
At this time, the main forces of the enemy's 88th Division and 87th Division came from Nong'an and Dehui respectively to reinforce.
Is it to fight or to go?
At that time, most of the leaders of the 5th Division advocated going. They held that our division was fighting alone and had little certainty of winning, but at the same time, the task entrusted to the headquarters to advance north had a bearing on the overall situation, and if it did not advance north, it would delay the fighter planes and the consequences would be unimaginable.
At that time, only Zhong Wei advocated fighting, and his reason was that the enemy's 88th Division was not on a stable footing and had a low morale in retreat, and we were sure of annihilating one of them. If the orders of the superiors are carried out mechanically, they are bound to cross with the enemy's marching column and be forced into battle, and the battle will not be fought well, and the road will not be able to go, and it will be difficult to reach the designated position on time, and the opportunity to annihilate the enemy will be missed.
At this moment, the military situation was on fire, and Zhong Wei slapped the table: "I am the division commander, and I have the final say!" Whoever says he goes, I'll shoot him!" While organizing attacks and reinforcements, the 5th Division called back to Dong Zong: "This is a good time to annihilate the enemy, let the 1st Column cooperate."
At that time, the situation on the battlefield had changed, and the strategic deployment must change with it. Dong Zong immediately called back: "Change the original combat deployment, change the deployment of annihilating the enemy in the big house to surveillance, order the 1st Division, the 6th Division, and the 6th Vertical Backer to assemble near the Mountain Tun and concentrate the main force to annihilate the enemy's 88th and 87th Divisions." ”
On the 12th, the 1st Column 1st Division encountered the enemy 88th Division at Guojiatun, killing and wounding more than 800 enemy and capturing more than 1,190 enemy. The 2nd and 3rd Divisions of the 1st Column also arrived at Paoshantun on time to annihilate the main force of the enemy's 87th Division.
Soldiers should make it their duty to obey orders. But some successful battles were won precisely in the fight against hits. Outstanding soldiers should have excellent disobedience, and Zhong Wei's disobedience in Paoshantun is outstanding!
In 1955, Zhong Wei was awarded the rank of major general.
He was incorruptible throughout his life, leaving a will before his death, handing in his television and refrigerator as membership fees. At that time, his wife Liu Banglan was still alive. Liu Banglan, a veteran party member who joined the party in 1938, lived for another 32 years after Zhong Wei's death, and died in 2016 at the age of 101.
The two have a total of five children, and they are all very good people. The eldest Zhong Gehua was admitted to the Department of Technical Physics of Peking University; the second eldest, Zhong Geyang, and the third Zhong Geping were both admitted to the Department of Engineering Physics of Tsinghua University; the eldest daughter, Zhong Jing, was admitted to the Department of Aircraft Manufacturing Technology of Beijing Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics; and the younger daughter, Zhong Shan, was admitted to the Philosophy Department of Peking University. They lived up to their father's expectations, became an important technical backbone on all fronts, and contributed their own strength to the construction of the motherland.
