Before he joined the party, he was a major general, and his wife took it upon herself to marry another room for him, and eventually became a founding general

As we all know, during the war years, guns and cannons have no eyes, and most of those who have experienced hundreds of battles have been bloodied and injured, but the founding general we want to talk about today is called a fu general, he can be regarded as the earliest person in China to participate in the revolution, he has experienced hundreds of battles in his life, and rongma has never been injured on the battlefield in his life, he is General Zhang Yunyi.

Before he joined the party, he was a major general, and his wife took it upon herself to marry another room for him, and eventually became a founding general

Speaking of which, among the ten founding generals, Zhang Yunyi is not only the oldest one, but also the only one with a marshal-level salary, so what legendary experience does this old general have in his life? Let's take a look back.

Zhang Yunyi, a native of Wenchang, Hainan, began attending private school at the age of 7, was admitted to the Huangpu Army Primary School in Guangdong at the age of 16, accepted progressive ideas, and secretly joined the League the following year.

In April 1911, zhang Yunyi, who was only 19 years old, participated in the Huanghuagang Uprising as a member of the death squad, and Huang Xing, as the commander-in-chief, led more than 120 people to attack the governor of Liangguang, Yamen, and engaged in a fierce battle with the Qing army day and night.

However, the rebel army was still outnumbered after all, and was forced to retreat due to excessive casualties, at that time, nearly a hundred brave soldiers died heroically, and Zhang Yunyi, because of the encirclement and suppression of the Qing army, he was ordered to withdraw from the battle after dropping the bomb, and hid in a house with several comrades-in-arms.

Early the next morning, Zhang Yunyi went out to buy vegetables on the upper street as a cover, went out to inquire for intelligence, in order to find a chance to break through, only to find that on the way back, he found that the Qing army had already rushed into the house they had hidden before, and all comrades were shot at the intersection.

This is the origin of the Seventy-two Martyrs of Huanghuagang, and in his memoirs in his later years, Zhang Yunyi humorously mentioned that if it were not for the reason of going out to buy vegetables, he would probably be 73 martyrs.

After graduating in 1914, Zhang Yunyi had been serving in the Cantonese Army, and by 1924 he had been promoted to brigade commander.

In 1926, Zhang Yunyi participated in the Northern Expedition, at this time he was already the chief of staff of the major general, but in this year, his ideological concepts underwent earth-shaking changes, he gradually realized the gap between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, and also deeply realized that only the Communist Party is the way out for the future of the Chinese nation.

Zhang Yunyi gave up the original high-ranking official Houlu and resolutely secretly joined the Communist Party in Wuhan.

At the end of 1929, Zhang Yunyi and Deng Xiaoping and others led the famous Baise Uprising and founded the Red Seventh Army, after which he led his troops to repeatedly repel the counterattacks of the Gui warlords and established the Right Jiangsu District.

In 1931, the main force of the Red Seventh Army left the Youjiang base area and went north to meet the Central Red Army, and finally after successfully meeting the Division with the Red Army, it was incorporated into the Red Third Army.

During the Long March, Zhang Yunyi served as the chief of staff of the Red Eighth Army, because he was very concerned about the soldiers, on a march, he saw a wounded person limping in front of the difficult trip, he could not help but come forward to help, the result was that the wounded saw the chief, a look of shock, and then quickly avoided, he was very puzzled, inquired about the situation to know, the original wounded were originally placed in the hometown of the hometown, the result was that he secretly followed.

Zhang Yunyi's expression was very serious after listening, and he said: Anything can be thrown away, that is, you can't lose the wounded and abandon your comrades, at that time, this sentence once spread throughout the army, making countless wounded people move forward.

During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Zhang Yunyi was sent to work in the New Fourth Army, and successively served as the commander of the third detachment and the commander of the second division of the New Fourth Army.

At that time in the Liberation War, everyone knew that the Huaihai Campaign was commanded and planned by Chen Yi, Su Yu, Liu Shuai and others, but the logistics work of mobilizing and organizing the masses of the people was single-handedly promoted by Zhang Yunyi, and in this unprecedented large-scale war, Zhang Yunyi and others organized and mobilized nearly 5.43 million migrant workers, using carts to transport grain, guns and ammunition for the frontline troops, which played an important role in the victory of the war.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Zhang Yunyi served as the second secretary of the South China Branch and the secretary of the Guangxi Provincial Party Committee, and was awarded the rank of general in 1955.

Having said so much about the general's revolutionary journey, in fact, his married life is also very legendary, and he once had two wives at the same time.

After serving as a company commander, Zhang Yunyi got married, his wife was named Wang Bizhen, and gave birth to a daughter for him, people at that time were very conservative in their thinking, because they had not given birth to boys for a long time, Wang Bizhen always had a heart knot in her heart, plus her health was no longer able to have children, so she always maintained guilt for her husband.

In 1923, Wang Bizhen took it upon herself to marry a new lady for Zhang Yunyi, and everything that happened to him as a husband did not know.

This new lady's name is Han Bi, also from Wenchang, Hainan, she is 12 years younger than Zhang Yunyi, once went home, Zhang Yunyi found that there was one more woman in the family, Wang Bizhen in the Tao Ming matter, provoked Zhang Yunyi angry, he never blamed his wife for not giving birth to a boy for him, he was angry about such a big thing, his wife actually hid from him, and forced the raw rice to cook mature rice.

Looking at the two silently weeping women, Zhang Yunyi was helpless for a while, and could only acquiesce silently.

In 1928, Han Bi gave birth to a boy (Zhang Yuanzhi) for Zhang Yunyi, and soon after he was ordered by the party organization to organize an uprising in Guangxi, and for 8 years thereafter, Zhang Yunyi never saw his wife and children again.

In the past 8 years, Han Bi and Wang Bizhen have taken care of the children at home with hard work, and Han Bi has worked overtime in the barber shop every day.

In 1937, Wang Bizhen died in the war and was buried in Qingyuan, Guangdong, and after liberation, Zhang Yunyi moved his wife's cemetery to the Galaxy Cemetery in Guangzhou.

In 1944, Han Bi gave birth to a daughter Zhang Yuanming for Zhang Yunyi, unfortunately, Xiao Yuanming died of a sudden illness in the arms of his mother Han Bi when he was one and a half years old, which led to Han Bi's mental disorder for a while, and it was only in 1946 that she improved, and it was in this year that she gave birth to a second son, Zhang Yuandong, for her husband.

In November 1974, Zhang Yunyi died of illness at the age of 82, and in 1984, Han Bi also passed away.

As a veteran general with extremely high seniority among the generals, Chairman Mao once praised Zhang Yunyi for his heavy holding and prestige, and even Marshal Chen Yi believed that Zhang Yunyi had the ability to accommodate people in the sea and the virtue of looking up to the mountains, and paid tribute to this selfless old general.
