Hong Kong, 9 Dec (Xinhua) -- On the afternoon of 9 December, about 300 Hong Kong teachers and students gathered at the gymnasium of Pei Qiao College to prepare for a special lesson. "Hello students!" At about 16:00, teachers from space- Shenzhou 13 crew astronauts Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu appeared on the big screen to open the "Tiangong Classroom" space teaching activities.

"Hello teachers!" The students on the ground enthusiastically responded to the cordial condolences of the "Space Teacher". Three astronauts then take the students on a magical journey into space. In the class that lasted about 1 hour, Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu interacted with young people on the ground in real time on the space station in the form of heaven and earth interaction.

In the weightless state, the astronauts floated to different areas of the space station, showed their work and life scenes in space, and conducted a number of experiments with students, including space cytology research experiments, buoyancy disappearance experiments, water film tension experiments, water balloon optics experiments, etc., to explain the scientific principles behind them.

When Wang Yaping conducted the water film tension experiment, he made a pink origami flower bloom in the water film. "You are all the flowers of the motherland, waiting to be released, the future is yours, I hope your dreams can bloom in the vast universe." She said.

On December 9, at the sub-class of Pei Qiao College in Hong Kong, Hong Kong primary school students listened carefully to the lesson.

"I'm going to be a scientist!" "I want to be a rocket designer!" Liu Junxiang and Qiu Xiting, sixth-grade primary school students from Peiqiao College, told reporters about their space dreams.

Liu Junxiang said that astronauts are very brave and have made great contributions to the country and society. He will take the 3 astronauts as an example, study hard, and hope to develop in space science and technology in the future.

In the classroom, the astronauts and students carried out a number of the same scientific experiments in space and on the ground, but the results were different, and the students were fascinated.

"Can you recycle your heavenly domestic water?" Mun Ruihan, a Hong Kong high school student attending Pei Qiao College, asked the astronauts questions. Wang Yaping then showed off a bag of transparently packaged reclaimed water and demonstrated how to drink it—squeezing two water balls out of the bag and then swallowing the volley.

Men Ruihan said that it is an honor to have a direct dialogue with the astronauts, and the "Tiangong Classroom" has enriched his scientific knowledge and let everyone see that the astronauts have made great efforts and are worth learning.

Xie Zhengjie, a high school student, is also full of admiration for astronauts. "I was deeply touched by their dedication to being the first. As a Student in Hong Kong, I hope to one day contribute to the country's space industry. He said.

Wu Yuzhi, president of Pei Qiao College, said that this unique space classroom has greatly aroused the students' interest and enthusiasm for aerospace science and technology, and helped the school to further develop STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education. The event also increased the sense of national identity and pride of teachers and students as Chinese.

"Tiangong Classroom" is China's first space science education brand, combined with manned missions, throughout the construction of China's space station and on-orbit operation series launched. The space teaching activities of the day were broadcast live, with the main ground classroom set up in the China Science and Technology Museum, and 4 ground sub-classes in Nanning, Sichuan, Hong Kong and Macao, with a total of 1420 primary and secondary school student representatives participating in the on-site activities. Pei Qiao College was selected as a sub-class in Hong Kong.

Different corners of the campus of Pei Qiao College reveal students' enthusiasm for science. In order to cooperate with the "Tiangong Classroom" activities, the students of the school made a beautiful exhibition board with the space universe as the background, in addition to introducing aerospace knowledge, they also posted many small cards, writing words such as "science and technology are strong and the country is strong", "tribute to Chinese astronauts", "safe return" and other words, expressing the students' blessings for the development of national astronauts and aerospace.

On October 16, the Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft was successfully launched, starting China's longest manned flight to date. Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu will stay in orbit in orbit in the core module of the Tiangong Space Station in China for 6 months.
