Xiong Daiping
Xiong Daiping, a native of Fengcheng, Jiangxi, now lives in Nanjing, and is a well-known young landscape painter. His works have been in the Palaisde Seoul Art Museum in Seoul, Oakwood University School of Art, Hendesville City Library, University of Alabama in Birmingham, Confucius Institute at the University of Central Arkansas, and the University of Minnesota for calligraphy and painting art exchanges. He is enthusiastic about public welfare, and has participated in charity sales and donation activities such as Nanjing Sports Lottery, Love to Help Farmers, Yunnan Ludian Earthquake, Rural Reading Program, and Rescue of Leukemia Children. The reference price of Beijing Poly Auction and Shanghai Jiahe Auction is 15,000 yuan per square foot.
He is currently the director of the Xuanwu Art Museum, a member of the 13th Nanjing Xuanwu District CPPCC, the deputy director of the Landscape Art Committee of the Jiangsu Young Artists Association, the vice chairman of the Nanjing Young Artists Association, the director of the Xu Beihong Research Association of Jiangsu Province, the deputy secretary-general of the Jiangsu Newspaper Media Calligraphy and Painting Institute, the director of the Jiangsu Young Artists Association, and a member of the Jiangsu Artists Association. From 1995 to 2011, he served as a clerk, projectionist, and film team leader at a communication terminal of Nanjing Military Region, and a member of the Art Committee of the Academy of Fine Arts and Calligraphy of Nanjing Military Region. In 2011, he studied at the Advanced Research Class of Contemporary Art at the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University. From 2014 to August 2018, he worked in Xinhua Daily, and served as the deputy director of the All Media Art Museum and the director of the Chinese Painting Creation Office of Xinhua Press Group. In 2016, he successively became a distinguished researcher of Yangzhou Academy of Chinese Painting, a distinguished researcher of Zhenjiang Academy of Chinese Painting, a distinguished researcher of Changzhou Liu Haisu Art Museum, and a distinguished researcher of Taizhou Art Museum. In 2018, he studied at the 5th Landscape Creation Workshop of China Academy of Art; In 2019, he studied in the first major landscape theme class of the China Academy of Art; In 2019, he was hired as an aesthetic education tutor by Nanjing Normal University of Special Education. In September 2021, he was hired as a calligraphy and painting instructor by the Institute of Culture and Art of Nanjing Normal University. His works have been published in People's Daily, Xinhua Daily, Nanjing Daily, Yangtze Evening News, Modern Express, China Calligraphy and Painting Newspaper, Art Newspaper, Jiangnan Collection Newspaper, One Collection and other newspapers and periodicals.
