In Lhasa, Tibet, from the Jokhang Temple, through the bustling crowds of the ancient streets and alleys of Barkhor Street, you will reach the Jokhang Temple, next to the living community known as "Gibengang". Named after the Qing Dynasty ancient building "Jibengang Lakang", as the only existing ancient mandala structure in Lhasa, the repair work of Jibengang Lakang has always attracted attention.

In the restoration team, the "post-90s" architect Xia Yujun is a returnee, he graduated from the Birmingham School of Design and Art in the United Kingdom, from 2016 to Lhasa, Xia Yujun spent more than 3 years to re-sculpt every detail of this ancient building.

Dusting away, when light and shadow pass through this centuries-old building, the mottled murals seem to speak quietly. Xia Yujun realized that he should stay here and "listen" to the echoes of the history of these ancient Tibetan buildings.
