At about 10:00 a.m. on November 23, 2021, Xie Mou, a 2018 master's student of our school, suddenly convulsed and fainted in the teaching building, and after being sent to the hospital in time, he unfortunately died after ineffective rescue, and the hospital diagnosed death because of sudden cardiac death. The teachers and students of the school are deeply saddened and regretful about Xie's death.

After the incident, the school attached great importance to it and quickly set up a special working group to communicate with the family, give spiritual comfort and life care, and assist in properly handling the aftermath. After verification, in May 2021, Xie Mou applied to the College for an extension of defense due to his failure to complete his dissertation. With the help of his supervisor and classmates, Xie completed the first draft of his dissertation with hard work and passed the pre-defense in late October. According to the requirements of graduate training, during the study period, Xie participated in a scientific research project presided over by the supervisor and undertook part of the experimental testing work. It is understood that in early May 2021, Xie reported that the tutor went to the hospital for medical treatment, and after the doctor's treatment, the tutor asked about the medical status, and Xie did not reflect to the tutor that he had a disease. Since then, the tutor has not received Xie's application for leave to go home.

Later, he passed the graduate school entrance examination and was admitted to the School of Civil Engineering of Liaoning Technical University, with a research direction of geotechnical engineering, and the instructor was Professor Dong Mouwen of the school, and he entered in September 2018 with a study system of 3 years.
