On December 6, the Sixth Party Congress of Jingzhou City was held, at which detailed plans were made for the development of Jingzhou in the next five years and specific goals were formulated.
The meeting explained that in the next five years, Jingzhou City will build a national industrial transfer demonstration zone, a green development demonstration zone in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, a rural revitalization demonstration zone in the Jianghan Plain, a regional coordinated development demonstration zone, a demonstration zone for the modernization of urban social governance, and a regional advanced manufacturing center, a regional science and education innovation center, a regional transportation and logistics center, a regional consumption center, and a Jingchu cultural heritage and development center.
It should be said that the construction of "five districts and five centers" proposed by Jingzhou City is not a new concept, and it is simply summarized, which is not much different from the strategies of "industrial revitalization", "agricultural revitalization", "tourism and tourism", "commercial revitalization" and so on proposed in the past.
However, today's Jingzhou City has more "national brand" or "Yangtze River Economic Belt" and other big names, in essence, "five districts and five centers" should be a continuation and extension of the overall development strategy of Jingzhou City in the past, and Hubei Province's support for Jingzhou to build a regional central city is a general requirement for the future development of Jingzhou.
It should be said that the core development strategy of Jingzhou in the next five years is to build "five districts and five centers" and build Jingzhou into a regional central city on this basis.
In addition, the meeting also formulated a specific numerical target for the total economic volume that Jingzhou should achieve in five years, that is, by the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan", the total GDP of Jingzhou should exceed the mark of 400 billion yuan, becoming the leader of the third group of cities in Hubei Province after Wuhan, Xiangyang and Yichang, and becoming the veritable third pole of development in Hubei Province.
It should be said that the positioning of Jingzhou City at the meeting is relatively objective at this stage, although Jingzhou has a glorious past, but since entering the new century, the gap between Jingzhou City and the "one main and two vice" cities in the province has begun to become increasingly obvious.
As a Jingzhou person, there may be many unwilling, but have to admit that after more than ten years of development, Xiangyang and Yichang have become the benchmark for the development of prefecture-level cities in the central and western regions, and in the short term, they are no longer the goals that other cities in the province can achieve.
Therefore, at this stage, Jingzhou City has found its own positioning and strived to become the leader of the third group in Hubei Province, which has become a more pragmatic and easy to achieve goal.
