Xu Shiyou was born in 1906, in the last year of the Qing government, because of the existence of landlord exploitation at that time, Xu Shiyou, who was born in a peasant family, had a very difficult life. When he was eight years old, he went to the Songshan Shaolin Temple to learn martial arts and practiced a good kung fu. However, once, because he could not accept the bullying of the villagers in the village, he taught the other party a lesson, did not control the strength, and directly beat people to death, at that time, in order to escape the pursuit, Xu Shiyou ran to join the army. After coming to the army, Xu Shiyou also gave full play to his righteous spirit and became a hot-blooded national revolutionary soldier. Under the influence of Marxist thought, he joined the Communist Party of China and became a glorious communist party member, and later he unswervingly inherited the spirit of communism and made many military achievements for the country and the people.

When he was a child, Xu Guang also lived with his grandmother, until 1948, he began to stay with his father, and also became a student of the military academy, but then because his grandmother was older, he needed someone to take care of him, so Xu Guang directly returned to the countryside to live with his grandmother, and then even if his grandmother left, he also stayed in the old family.
As for his other sons and daughters, they were all born to his third wife, Tian Pu, and his son Xu Jianjun inherited his father's mantle and became an air force staff officer of the Nanjing Military Region when he grew up, but later his career was not smooth, and he was innocently framed and imprisoned, and until his father died, he did not have the opportunity to see the last side.
