Shen Junru (1875---1963) was the only former Qing jinshi who participated in the politics of New China.

He was the last ranked scholar of the late Qing Dynasty. The top three of the list of hall tests were Liu Chunlin, Zhu Ruzhen, and Shang Yanjun. Shen Junru ranked seventy-fifth in the second division. He was awarded the title of Chief of Study in the Guizhou Department of the Criminal Department.

He can write poetry at the age of 7 and Xiucai at the age of 15.
