In the strawberry base, only to see a red "head" of sweet fruits protruding from the emerald green branches, the white flowers dotted among them, and the fragrance of "berry" comes to the nose, a good scene of "berry". Tourists in pairs are busy picking fruit baskets, or taking photos with salivating strawberries to "punch in" the strawberry picking trip.
"Today the weather is very good, I came with my family to pick some strawberries, their strawberries have always tasted very good, they have been picking at their home for several years, and they often bring their children to play." Tourist Wu Xinyu said.
It is understood that there are 21 greenhouses in the Lotus Pond Xintiandi Strawberry Garden, and the strawberry planting area is more than 15 acres. In order to meet the needs of the public for different tastes, the strawberry farm has introduced 6 strawberry varieties such as red face, carnelian jade and Sui plant, each with its own characteristics, and all of them adopt a pollution-free planting mode, using physical sterilization and bee pollination, so that tourists can pick and eat with peace of mind.
The early listing of strawberries has also brought a lot of benefits to growers. According to reports, the batch of strawberries from the beginning of October into the picking period, can be picked continuously until Next May, the picking price of 40 yuan per kilogram, is expected to achieve an annual output value of about 400,000 yuan. In order to expand sales channels, growers also carry out online publicity through Douyin, Meituan, WeChat Circle of Friends, etc., and the daily customer demand has been far greater than the supply of strawberries, which can be described as short supply.
"At present, there are three or four sheds that are ripe, and we welcome our citizens and tourists to our Lotus Pond Xintiandi Strawberry Base to pick and play." Yuan Yukun, a strawberry planter in Lotus Pond Xintiandi, told reporters that the next step is to continue to expand the scale of planting, register trademarks, and push strawberries outside.
