A few days ago, the Shanghai Citizens' Lifelong Learning Experience Base Smart Life Hongkou Yangpu Carnival Branch Event was held at the Compass Base. This time, Hongkou and Yangpu jointly held the carnival sub-venue activity, integrated the high-quality resources of the two districts, and created a parent-child cultural experience feast for the citizens and friends on the spot!
A total of five parent-child experience activities were set up on the spot, namely: Face Man Kneading, Shanghai Velvet Embroidery, Wooden Bracelet Making, Ukulele Painting, Hand Lantern Making and Solar System Handmade Model DIY.
Originating from traditional Chinese folk art, noodle kneading uses flour and glutinous rice flour as the main raw materials to make soft dough of various colors. In this experience, children and parents use small bamboo knives to point, cut, carve and scratch through kneading, rubbing, kneading, lifting and other face molding techniques. A lively and cute little clay man was made!
Shanghai velvet embroidery is a handmade technique of embroidery on special mesh linen with colored wool velvet thread. This time, parents and children embroidered a magnolia velvet embroidery work, and parents and children were patient and attentive, carefully learning this Shanghai intangible cultural heritage skill.
The carpentry project experienced the grinding of wooden bracelets, using different woodworking tools to polish a piece of wood into a smooth and beautiful wooden bracelet. It's a kung fu job that requires not only skill but also patience, and parents and children alike are immersed in bracelet making.
At the Ukulele Painting Project, parents and children use their imaginations to paint on the ukulele to create a ukulele that is unique in the world, draw a beautiful ukulele and assemble it.
Finally, we made a hand lantern and DIY handmade model of the solar system, which is also a wonderful activity at the Yangpu Experience Point of Smart Life in Shanghai. The hand lantern with the three-dimensional paper carving cut-out plug is decorated with traditional paper-cut patterns, and parents and children experience the charm of paper art! Handmade models of the solar system are made from eco-friendly wood, plastic and metal fittings. Through this experience, the children not only learned about the scientific knowledge in small productions, but also cultivated their sense of innovation. It is reported that after that, the compass base will also launch more wonderful parent-child experience series of activities, please pay attention to it at any time and register as soon as possible!
