Two "little cuties" mistakenly broke into the shop in one day

Cute little owl with cute eyes

Guangzhou Daily News (All-media reporter Liu Yiming correspondent Hu Yingbin photo report) Recently, two frightened wild animal owls and green cone-tailed parrots in Chancheng, Foshan, mistakenly broke into the shop, flapping their wings and constantly swirling around in the store, and the shop staff could not start seeing the situation, so they quickly called the police for help. Here, Foshan Chancheng public security reminds that wild birds may be nationally protected animals, and once the public finds that they should not catch themselves, they should promptly report to the relevant departments for handling.

At noon on November 24, Chancheng Public Security received a police report from Foshan 110, saying that an "uninvited guest" had come to a shop near Nanzhuang Avenue, but it could not be properly "sent away" and needed help from the police. After receiving the police, the Foshan Chancheng public security police arrived at the scene and found this "uninvited guest" near a shop. It turned out to be a small owl that was a little larger than the palm of his hand, but with cute eyes.

Through observation, the police found that the owl did not have obvious trauma, so they put on anti-cutting gloves, carefully approached the owl, and quickly caught it. Because the health of the owl was not clear, the police found clean cartons and drinking water to settle it first. On the way back to the police station with the owl, the police gently smoothed the owl's feathers to calm it down, and contacted the relevant departments to request that the wild owl be sheltered and resettled as soon as possible.

On the afternoon of the same day, the Chancheng Public Security Jiangwan Police Station also welcomed an "uninvited guest". At about 14:00, Mr. Chen, a citizen, sent a cardboard suitcase to the police station, which contained a green parrot. According to Mr. Chen, at noon that day, the parrot flew into Mr. Chen's girlfriend's shop on its own, and was not afraid of people and refused to leave. Not knowing whether the parrot was a protected animal, Mr. Cheng had to carefully grab the parrot and put it in a cardboard box and send it to the police station. According to the preliminary judgment of the staff of the Animal Protection Center, the parrot is suspected to be a green cone-tailed parrot and is listed in the red list of endangered species.

At present, the owl and green cone-tailed parrot have been handed over to the Foshan Wildlife Conservation Association for further examination and follow-up treatment, and after further inspection to determine the health status of small animals, they will be released back to nature at a later date.
