Fortunately, the tiger could not touch the fire door, did not dare to act rashly, a tiger and a car just faced off for about 1 minute, the tiger finally lost the battle, turned away.
Mr. Tai began to regret it, he was too nervous just now, and forgot to let his companions take a picture of himself and the tiger.
Coincidentally, also in Yanbian, on November 16, a Mr. Zhao drove to work in the morning, and also met a Northeast Tiger between the Hunchun Gold and Copper Mine and Sandaogou, and followed it for a long time, and the tiger also frequently looked back.
On the 28th and 16th, Machuanzi Township and Sandaogou were all in the same place, and the tigers were solitary animals and had their own territories, so it was almost certain that this was the same tiger, and this place had been designated as its own territory.
This means that tigers have settled here, in fact, Hunchun residents have often seen tigers in recent years, according to statistics, there are currently 33 Siberian tigers, 43 Siberian leopards in the area, and more and more large predatory wild animals.
Why are there so many large predators in Hunchun?
This brings us to another wild animal, which is the wild boar, which is the most important food source for the Siberian tiger. Since the beginning of the return of farmland to forest in the last century, the ecological environment in various parts of China has gradually improved, coupled with strict wildlife protection policies, various wild animal populations have also been greatly developed, and the wild boar population has developed very rapidly, and Hunchun has become a paradise for wild boars to act arbitrarily.
According to reports in recent years, Hunchun has handled a number of poaching cases of wild boar hunting, and wildlife protection has achieved remarkable results. However, this has also made Hunchun the hardest hit area of the national wild boar disaster, and nearly 10,000 wild boars may have been active here. The Hunchun Forestry Bureau once had a statistic that in the six years since 2011, the economic loss of crops caused by wildlife activities has reached 8.6 million yuan, most of which is caused by wild boars. There have even been incidents of wild boar injuries in some places, and some studies have been exploring how to prevent wild boar disasters, one of which is to use the feces and sounds of Siberian tigers to scare off wild boars.
The Siberian tiger may also understand the urgent needs of human beings, carry forward the spirit of interspecificism, uninvited, participate in the prevention of human wild boars, and prepare to play the main force to make new contributions to the prevention and control of wild boars.
But this also brought huge problems, in the past, with the continuous expansion of human beings, the living space of wild animals was constantly compressed, and the Siberian tigers in Hunchun left China to live in the relatively sparsely populated Territory of Russia. Now humans take the initiative to give in, wild boars prosper, and Siberian tigers will naturally follow suit, which has suppressed the human activity space.
The interaction between humans, wild boars and Siberian tigers can be said to be very complex, which is bound to lead to various contradictions and conflicts, which will take time to reach a new balance, and the interests of all parties need to be readjusted. At present, in the human-wild boar conflict across the country, people not only suffer economic interests, but also their lives and safety are threatened to a certain extent, and when they kill wild boars to protect their own interests, they may also break the law. Recently, a couple in Huaichuan County, Nanyang City, Henan Province, was sentenced for their more than 100 acres of wheat and corn damaged by wild boars, almost no grain harvest, and set up a power grid in anger and killed 8 wild boars.
In Hunchun, Jilin Province, the situation becomes more complicated when tigers join in. After all, tigers are carnivores, opportunists, and although they come to hunt wild boars, it is difficult not to covet other animals, including human livestock, and even humans may be targeted.
The improvement of the environment is a sign of social civilization, and the return of wild boars and tigers also allows human beings to return to nature and re-examine themselves, but the contradictions, conflicts and problems brought by them will also increase. Relevant departments should study and judge as early as possible how to balance various interests, so that people and nature can truly coexist in harmony with wild animals.
