From November 27 to December 5, 1948, in order to control the airport west of the Fenhe River, the 1st Corps of the North China Military Region ordered the troops of the Jinzhong Military Region to enter xishan to fight, and controlled Shiqianfeng (now part of Wanbailin District) and Miaoqian Mountain (at the junction of present-day Gujiao City, Jinyuan District, Qingxu County, and Wanbailin District).
