Lou Zhongqiang said that the large pit under the culvert appeared after the flood on July 20, because the road surface was soaked by rain and gradually crushed by passing vehicles. Looking inward along the mouth of the pit, there is a continuous flow of water flowing out of the pit wall, and there are several pit walls with large water flow, and large holes have appeared. Onlookers reported that there has been water under the overpass in recent times, and even if it does not rain, there is water under the bridge. At that time, some citizens found that the accumulated water was flooding out of this pit.
At first, Lou Zhongqiang also considered whether it would be a water pipe network or a rupture of the sewer pipe network, and after docking with the water company and the sewage treatment company, he got a reply that the pipe network was not laid under the overpass.
"Based on the situation at the scene, at present, we have a preliminary suspicion that the water gushing out of the pit comes from the surrounding land storage. The heavy rain in the past few days has led to the saturation of the surrounding land, the location of the pit is low, the road surface appears like a faucet, and the excess water storage in the surrounding soil is squeezed from the pit to the road. According to Lou Zhongqiang, the entire project is expected to be under construction for 1 week, in addition to filling the pit, it will also repair the remaining damaged pavement under the bridge.
