Li Yu (15 August 937 – 13 August 978), born in Pengcheng County, Xuzhou (present-day Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province), was born in Jiangning Province (present-day Nanjing, Jiangsu Province), originally known as Congjia, literally Chongguang, a hermit of Zhongshan, a hermit of Zhong Feng, a resident of Bailian, and a resident of Lianfeng, the sixth son of Li Jing of Tang Yuanzong, and the last monarch of the Southern Tang Dynasty.
