Taizhou art rookie 丨Li Dongdong: Find yourself in dance

Li Dongdong (male)

It was dancing that chose him

In 2003, Li Dongdong was most impressed by two things: SARS and the other was to leave the village primary school and study at the art school in Shangqiu, Henan.

That year, Li Dongdong was only 13 years old and was in the fifth grade. "One day, the teacher of the art school came to our school to pick someone. The teacher instructed all the students to stand on the playground. Art school teachers walk back and forth, inspecting, and selecting suitable seedlings. Later, the class teacher gave me a paper notice telling me that I had the opportunity to go to the art school and asked me to go home and discuss it with my parents. ”

Therefore, Li Dongdong went home with the notice.

His parents asked him how many people went to school. Li Dongdong replied that few people were selected.

After thinking about it, the parents said, go, go and learn a craft, in case the study is not good, there is still a way out.

Saying that it is "not good at studying", in fact, at that time, Li Dongdong's grades could rank in the top three in the class, and he was a "three good student". However, his parents have always been lenient, and Li Dongdong also said, "Since there was an opportunity in the sky at that time, let's try it."

He didn't even know what he wanted to learn, so he went to the county to participate in the re-examination without understanding. After passing the re-examination, he went to the city to participate in the interview, and the interview was successfully passed, and he began to wait for the opening of the art school.

In December 2003, the start of the school year, which was delayed due to SARS, finally arrived.

Li Dongdong, whose personality has always been at ease with the encounter, quickly adapted to the study and life of the art school. But not everyone can adapt, "learning dance is very hard, two months before the start of school, there are many students can not bear the hardship, choose to quit school." Originally, there were more than 20 people in a dance class, learning to learn, and Li Dongdong found that there were fewer and fewer people in the class. In the end, only 3 people remained in his class.

Talking about this, Li Dongdong had some feelings, "The other two people have changed careers, one of them is doing business with his family, and the other is selling houses and cars." Unexpectedly, he actually became the "only remaining fruit" in the class who was still dancing.

Understand what you really want to do

Li Dongdong learned ethnic folk dance, generally taking cultural classes in the morning and professional classes in the afternoon.

In the first year, the focus of the professional course is on practicing the basic skills. The first threshold faced by Li Dongdong, whose limbs are stiff, is "opening the tendons", "the instep, thighs, crosses, shoulders, chest and waist, and large waist, all of which must be opened." Among them, opening the waist is the most painful, requiring the person to lie flat on the ground, lift the upper body, and touch the neck of the foot close to the ground with his hand. Whenever this happens, the classroom is in mourning, and he is no exception.

"Learning to dance, it's normal to get hurt." When he was in school, Li Dongdong once strained his thighs, causing his thighs to swell badly, and he could only help the handrail to carefully go up the stairs. After graduation, when he turned his head over once, Li Dongdong stuck his head on the ground, leaving a dark wound since then, resulting in the inability to move his neck vigorously.

During the school period, Li Dongdong and his classmates also learned vocal music, learned basic movements such as breathing, hand position, rhythm, etc., and also practiced some technical movements such as handstanding, heeling, and flips, and what he was best at was air flips.

More skills are honed by Li Dongdong in practice.

Leaving school, he and several classmates followed the teacher and made a living dancing. During this time, he met a dance team from Beijing, practiced basic skills with them, and learned skills with the people of the martial arts troupe, and grew rapidly.

Later, through the introduction of classmates, Li Dongdong went to work in a song and dance troupe in Wenzhou. In the troupe, the performances of "Song Wind" and "Old Man Music" that he participated in also won the first prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Mass Dance Competition. Later, Li Dongdong went to Nanjing, joined the Nanjing Youth Song and Dance Troupe, and participated in CCTV performances. A few months later, for some reason, he left the troupe again.

Wang Xiaobo's "Golden Age" said, "I was twenty-one years old that day, in the golden age of my life." For Li Dongdong, it may be "I was in my twenties that day, in the confused era of my life."

In Li Dongdong's confused twenties, he changed his profession and returned to his hometown to open a shop, "Dance is always moving, and guarding the store needs to sit quietly all the time." People who are accustomed to moving cannot calm down. At that time, when I saw others dancing in the video, my heart was very anxious, and I always thought about when I would be able to dance again."

Finally, going round and round, he was back in the dance industry he loved.

A new beginning in the dance business

In 2016, under the introduction of friends, Li Dongdong came to Taizhou and joined the Luqiao District Art Troupe.

In Taizhou, he returned to the stage and had more opportunities to show himself.

In 2018, Li Dongdong's duo dance "Prayer Hope" won the Gold Award for Creation and Performance of the 6th Taizhou Youth Dance Competition, and the dance "You Are My Dish" won the Silver Award of the 2018 Zhejiang Provincial Mass Dance Competition. Last year, Li Dongdong led the dance in the group dance "The Year of the Desert Island" and "Zhutang Chasing Dreams", and his works were shortlisted for the 2020 Zhejiang Provincial Mass Dance Competition.

A good dance work is the cooperation of music, stage, choreography, actors and other aspects, and the actors are the core and soul of the work. "Once on stage, all I could think of was music and action. When I really put myself into the work, immersed in the characters, I couldn't help but follow the characters, jumping and jumping involuntarily and got goosebumps. Li Dongdong said.

While improving his dance skills, Li Dongdong is also constantly improving his choreography and creative ability, and has participated in the choreography of large-scale events for many times.

In 2018, Li Dongdong served as a choreographer at the Taizhou Spring Festival Gala; last year, he served as an executive director at the 60th anniversary performance of the Wenzhou Dongtou Pioneer Women's Militia Company; this year, he served as the executive director of the Guizhou Danzhai Spring Ploughing Ceremony...

Dancing is different from the choreographer's satisfaction point, dancing is the moment of honor, and choreography is the moment when the camera is facing the actor, "the actors put on the costumes, bring props, stand in the right position, the lights are lit, the picture on the screen comes out, I feel that all my previous efforts are worth it."

On the 22nd of last month, the opening ceremony of the Fourth Zhejiang Provincial Sports Conference was held in Quzhou. At the opening ceremony, the choreographer and director of the two programs "My Time" and "River of Numbers" was Li Dongdong. "It took two months to participate in this arrangement. The event was important and demanding. Before, I rehearsed for professional dancers, but this time it was for students, and the number of participants was relatively large, and the scheduling and positioning were relatively more complicated. ”

Whether it is standing on the stage to perform, training in the practice room, or conducting offstage, different roles are the same theme. Dance has become an integral part of his life and work. And his future planning is also inseparable from dance, "I hope to meet a better art team in the future, or open a training institution to explore and cultivate people with dance talent."

Eighteen years with dance, there have been twists and turns, there have been give-ups, but dance has pointed out the direction for him when he is confused, let him find what he really wants to do, and bring him confidence, satisfaction and honor.
