But is that true? I'm afraid we're wrong to blame Emperor Wen of Sui. At that time, casual sui, and Sui of the Sui Dynasty, both words were available. And, most importantly, the two words are used in a mixture, and there is no rule on what to use for any occasion. Some scholars have roughly counted the tombstones of the Sui Dynasty period, and found that the Sui of the Great Sui above, the use of this word is very high, as high as 90%. From the beginning of the Tang Dynasty to the tang Xuanzong period, it was reduced to eighty percent, and in the late Tang Dynasty, it rose back, and returned to ninety percent. So it may be that since then, the Sui of the Great Sui has used more times, and casually followed it has become a strange word, and people can't explain it, so it feels that Yang Jian changed the national name.
