In order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, solidly carry out the study and education of party history, encourage the party members and cadres of the vast number of organs not to forget their original intentions, keep their mission firmly in mind, enhance their ideological consciousness, political consciousness, and action consciousness of "taking history as a mirror and creating the future", and at the same time feel the charm of elegant works of art, and further cultivate and practice the core socialist values, it was introduced by the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Sports and Tourism, jointly sponsored by the Working Committee of the Municipal Organs Directly Under the Municipal Government, the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Sports, and Tourism, and the musical drama "Beacon Fire Xian Xinghai" produced by the Southern Song and Dance Troupe. It was staged on November 16 at the Municipal Culture and Arts Center. The performance was watched by 350 party members and representatives of grass-roots party organizations in 86 municipal organs directly under the central government.
The purpose of this performance is to deeply study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on "July 1st", continue the red gene in the memory of martyrs, draw on the strength of endeavor in remembering history, and further promote the study and education of party history to go deeper and more concrete. After the end of the performance, the party members at the scene expressed that they should remember history, work hard, forge ahead, give play to the vanguard and exemplary role of party members, and make due contributions to their posts.
Beacon · Xian Xinghai
The musical "Beacon Fire Xian Xinghai" was created and arranged by the Southern Song and Dance Troupe, written by Chen Xiaolin, composed by Du Ming, and directed by Tan Ying. The play is a tribute to Guangdong Province to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, premiered in Guangzhou in September 2015, and was upgraded and polished in 2016. The revised version of "Beacon Fire Xian Xinghai" was successfully selected as a key support project of the Ministry of Culture's 2016 National Stage Art Creation Project, and in March 2017, it entered Beijing to participate in the "National Stage Art Excellent Repertoire Exhibition" organized by the Ministry of Culture.
The play takes the musical journey of Guangzhou musician Xian Xinghai in the historical background of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression as the main line. The nearly 3-hour viewing of the performance recounted the patriotic road of the like-minded and fiery lofty patriotic road at the time of the life and death of the country and the nation, and the heroic and tragic life and death of the anti-Japanese war years when the flames were in full swing and the lives were ruined, showing the patriotic feelings of a generation of enthusiastic young people represented by Xian Xinghai in the era of the anti-Japanese war, worrying about the country and the people, and dedicating their youth and even their lives for the liberation of the nation.
