Atrocities against indigenous Indians are unforgivable

According to the British "Independent" report, researchers recently confirmed the identity of 102 students who died in a federal boarding school for Indians in the history of Nebraska. Margaret Jacobs, a professor of history at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln who participated in the survey, said the actual number of Indian students dying at the boarding school could be much higher than the current number.

As soon as the news came out, public opinion was in an uproar. Judy, executive director of the Nebraska Council on Indian Affairs, said the historical truth of Indian persecution was too brutal and that covering up that history had become a "collective will" at the U.S. national level.

The atrocities committed by American society against Native Americans are not limited to history. To this day, in the United States, which shouts "democracy" and "human rights", Indians still face a series of social problems such as drinking water shortages, the destruction of reserves due to the laying of oil and gas pipelines, the disappearance and murder of Indigenous women, and the abuse and death of children.

Data and survey reports show that in the United States, Native American women are murdered much more than other ethnic groups, and more than 80% of Native American women have experienced violence. Mass polls conducted by Indians between 2016 and 2018 showed that the lack of representation of Indians in popular culture, media and basic education was one of the most important reasons for prejudice against this ethnic group.
