After the implementation of the road police integrated coordination linkage mechanism, this place has hardly been closed. On November 17, at the Dongmazhuang toll booth in the Xingfen (Xingtai to Fenyang) section of the Donglu (Dongying to Lüliang) Expressway, Guan Changbao, a truck driver who often transports glass to and from Shandong, Shanxi and Hebei, said happily after watching the vehicles that still pass the highway normally in foggy weather.

The Xingfen section of the Donglu Expressway is a typical mountain expressway with many ramps and tunnels, and complex road conditions. For safety reasons, road closure measures were often taken in the past during bad weather.

In 2019, the integrated coordination and linkage mechanism of road police was explored and established here. The two sides of the road police have set up a road police joint logistics team, established a video patrol and information release management system, and carried out more scientific management of the road surface. This move broke down the barriers of the previous charging, maintenance, traffic police, road administration and other independent industries, and realized the integrated command and dispatch and joint logistics linkage of unified scheduling and coordinated operation, which not only ensured the safety of traffic, but also greatly improved the traffic efficiency and traffic control capabilities of the expressway.

Driving through the road, people found that newly installed equipment was guarding the safety of passing vehicles.

In order to facilitate the timely grasp of the road surface situation and command traffic, the Xingfen section of the Donglu Expressway has added prompt boards in important parts, encrypted road information boards, and increased information screens; variable speed limit capture equipment has been added in fog-prone sections, and variable speed limit capture equipment has been enabled under low visibility conditions.

With the joint efforts of both sides of the road police, the previous "one seal" to deal with bad weather has become "less road closure, no road closure"; the previous "station diversion" has become "high-speed main road accommodation"; the previous "passive waiting" has become "pressing the car with the road". This section of the expressway last year and this year basically achieved no road closure, reached quasi-all-weather traffic, and the masses' travel problems have been effectively solved. Li Xiaoping, captain of the Luluo Brigade of the Xingtai Detachment of the Hebei High-speed Traffic Police Corps, said that last year, the road section was closed more than 60 times, and the road closure time was reduced by 720 hours, benefiting 18,000 vehicles and 24,000 drivers and passengers.

Driven by this section, this year, some sections of the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, Rongwu Expressway, Zhangcheng Expressway, Beijing-Qin expressway and other sections have adopted integrated road police coordination and linkage measures to ensure the smooth passage of vehicles.

Since the beginning of this year, the number of highway closures under the jurisdiction of Hebei Expressway Group has dropped by 39.85% year-on-year, and the length of road closures has dropped by 61.21% year-on-year, which has made it easier for people to travel to the greatest extent.
