Storm Arwen brought bad weather to couples digging sheep out of a 3-meter-high snow pile

According to the British "Metropolis Daily" reported on December 2, the arrival of Storm Arwen is already unbearable for people who can warm up at home, and it is even more difficult for those who are in the open air. A couple of farmers named Kate and Nev used their personal experience to tell people how bad things can get when exposed to harsh conditions, and they eventually had to dig 3 sheep out of a snow pile more than 3 meters high.

Kate and Nev run a small farm with 50 sheep, some for breeding and wool gathering, and some for pet sheep. During Storm Arwen's landings, the couple's flock disappeared. They went out for hours in search of heavy snow and found most of the sheep, but some were still missing. Kate and Nev continued their search with crutches poking at the snowdrift and eventually found 3 ewes trapped in a snowdrift more than 3 meters high. Nev plucked the first ewe by hand and lured it out. It took a few minutes for it to bravely leave the trapped "igloo." Surprisingly, the 3 sheep were not injured.

Nev said they treat their sheep like family members and can't bear to put them in trouble. "It's like your pet dog is stuck in the snow, all you have to do is get them out and make sure they're okay," he said. The weather was bad. But surprisingly, they weren't injured, and now they were running around the field like nothing had happened. ”

On another farm, the horns of several rams protruded from the snow, which was seen by the farmer and successfully rescued. (Compiled and reported by China Youth Network)
