Financial Freedom Trail-01 What you really want

author:Dr Amnesia Rabbit

After watching Puppy Money, I recently started reading Bodo Schaefer's The Road to Wealth Freedom.

Today I would like to talk to you about the contents of the first chapter.

You've been exploring for a long time. Now give up exploring and learn how to harvest it.

--Heinz Kerner, Johannes

If you can, put down your phone a little, close your eyes, and think carefully about what your dream life will look like.

After thinking about it, you can take a look at the life of my dreams:

To do a job on text, presumably as an editor. At that time, I would definitely not pay too much attention to entertainment gossip as I do now, and what flowed in my mind was definitely vivid words and figurative scenes. After work, driving home, I already had my own house, not big, but it was just right to live alone. As soon as I entered the door, XiaoBai (cat cat) rushed over to rub my ankle, I knew he was probably hungry, after preparing cat food for him, I went to cook, and by the time I ate, he was full, leisurely licking the soles of his feet. After dinner, I usually hold him and stand on the balcony, looking at the city that is both familiar and unfamiliar, imagining the life of people in the dark and the pickles that people do not talk to. After that, I would go to the study to read a book, and usually forced myself to code enough words, saying that it was not because I did not love it, but because I used regularity to fight inertia. Recently I was writing a novel about how a rabbit with independent consciousness should be produced when most animals have the same consciousness as humans, and when war is about to break out. Most of the weekends require overtime to catch up on drafts, and if I can take a break, I usually play games for half a day, and then go out for a walk and see the city up close. About three or five friends in the evening, have a few drinks, and brag about the world. Through work and financial management, I have achieved basic financial freedom, but I am still very restrained in consumption. Life can be very leisurely or hurried, but it is freer than it is now, and the heart is calmer than it is now.

This is the life I want, what about you? While I don't yet know what your life is like, I guess it's probably never going to be your current life.

There is probably a contradiction in life: our inner vision is very different from real life. But there is one more thing that is so unified: we all long for happiness, we all want to live the life that our hearts want.

But what does such hope bring us? He was like a mirage in the desert, so illusory and so ethereal, as if he were close at hand, but out of reach. As the old adage goes, "All fools live in hope and waiting". Hope is a smart tranquilizer, a wonderful kind of self-deception. Often the greater the hope, the greater the disappointment.

So it's time to throw away illusory hopes and blind optimism. We don't need illusory hopes, we need the confidence that will lead us to success.

Schaefer preached: Optimism will only make you see the positive side of things, and confidence brings you a kind of confidence to overcome the dark side. Optimism makes you blind to the cruelty of reality, and self-confidence will lead you through the hardships of life.

If you are disappointed in your current state of life, then there is nothing to worry about, because you will definitely be more disappointed in the future. If you don't act and don't change your way of thinking and behavior habits from now on, then your future life will only be a simple repetition of your current life, or even slide into a worse situation.

Our previous ways of thinking and behaving have shaped what we are today. And this way of thinking and acting will never make the future us what we want to be now.

First of all, we must correctly understand money, do not regard them as flood beasts, do not think that talking about money is very vulgar, the most undesirable thing is to have a "hatred of the rich" mentality, because people with such a psychology cannot become rich. Don't be only money, become a slave to money, after all, the story of Grande must be familiar to everyone. We strive to make money in order to use money to realize our dreams and bring us a better life, money is only a way, a means, not an end.

At the same time, we also need to beware of the trap of consumerism, what seems to be able to improve our living standards at the time, consumption, in the end will only become a stumbling block to our good life, within our means, reasonable planning of their own income and expenditure is the correct way of consumption. Regarding income planning, you can also take a look at my previous article on "Puppy Money Money", or comment directly on the private message to me, I will be happy to discuss the issue of money with you.

Everyone should have heard of the "hit worker" meme, as long as we work hard, the boss can live a better life.

Please note that this is no joke!

We may be just other people's money-making tools for the rest of our lives!

So what do we do?

The answer is: build your career on your greatest hobby.

But it's not easy, most of us can't do what we're really interested in because we're short of money, but how can we make a fortune in an industry we hate?

Think hard about your dreams and make them your goals, complemented by matching strategies and actions. If you can't find your dream for a while, try to turn your current job into your own dream, and then try to realize and create value in your work.

For example, I'm in an accountant, but I love literature. This means that I have found my dream, and the next thing I need to do is read, accumulate and write, and improve my literary literacy until I have the ability to make literature my career. Similarly, if in the end I find that I am not suitable for literature, then I will try to turn accounting and finance into my dreams, and maybe in the end accounting will not become the same yearning as literature in my heart, but I will at least accept this industry calmly, and then try to do better in this regard.

Summary: As the first chapter of this book, the purpose of this chapter is mainly to provide us with a motivation, a behavioral incentive, everyone wants to make a fortune, but it is impossible to make big money just superficially, we have to figure out why we want to make big money, what is the purpose of our making money? What do you want to do after making money?

Motivate yourself by drawing a beautiful picture of the future and enriching yourself in your mind on time every day. Identify your dreams and goals, complemented by strategies and actions. We all know a lot of truth, but we can't live this life well, because we don't act. But positive actions are often boring, and there are too many temptations now, which requires our goals and blueprints to guide them. The more we yearn for the goal and the better life, the more we can resist the temptation and strive to move towards the goal.

I still remember the game console that I saved for a long time in junior high school, and I think I must have experienced such a scene at that time: I held the money, stood at the entrance of the commissary, looked at the spicy strips, cokes, and lollipops inside and drooled, but in the end the desire for the game console overcame the appetite.

I still remember the summer vacation when I was rushing in the game, but I have long forgotten the taste of spicy strips, cola, and lollipops. If our desire for a better life is the same as my desire for game consoles at that time, we can certainly resist the temptation of mobile phones, games, and short videos. I hope that everyone will remember the joy of playing games in the future, rather than the "sweetness" that disappears in the wind.
