After a meal, one of his regular customers left two boxes of grapes for the boss, and Lao Xu then transferred them to another old customer, who was also the boss of a garment factory in Zhejiang. But unexpectedly, a few days later, the boss called twice, said that the grapes were delicious, and asked Lao Xu to help buy 5 boxes and 10 boxes of grapes to send over.
Xu Bingjun was secretly surprised: the roadside grapes were 2-3 yuan per kilogram, but the grapes specified by the customer actually sold for 8 yuan per kilogram, and they did not worry about selling! The grape was planted by Lu Yujin, who was already in his fourth year of studying and planting grapes in Jinshan.
Soon, Lao Xu had a surprising move: he closed the hotel, bailed Lu Yujin as a teacher, and returned to his hometown to get land to plant grapes. After the Spring Festival in 2005, he began to plant grapes on 10 acres of land. Because he did not know anything about this, Lu Yujin specially rushed over with the workers and taught him how to dig ditches, fertilize, and build shelves by hand; when he needed to prune, he sent someone to help him prune the branches; when he needed to take medicine, he wrote a note and taught him what medicine to buy and how to fight; when the grapes were ripe, Lu Yujin personally drove to get the goods to help sell, and the car was still trapped on the side of the road, Xu Bingjun called a group of people to carry the car out... In 2007, the grapes grown by Xu Bingjun's family participated in the competition for the first time and won awards, and since then, they have won prizes almost every year.
He raised his eyebrows: his own grapes finally sold for 8 yuan a catty, while the most famous local grapes in Pinghu only sold for 7 yuan a catty. After that, his planting scale continued to expand, and he established the Golden Silk Lady Fruit Professional Cooperative and set up a farm. In 2012, the cooperative planted an area of more than 800 acres, the farm can receive 500-600 people to eat at the same time, the grapes grown by the family are simply not enough to sell, and the annual turnover exceeds 27 million yuan.
Xu Bingjun was Lu Yujin's first apprentice in Jinshan. After that, as Lu Yujin's Shiquan grapes became more and more famous, and won gold medals in the Shanghai Grape Selection for many years, more and more of his apprentices have been brought out so far, and at least more than 400 growers have been brought out, and at most, the Jinshan grape planting area has been more than 11,000 mu, and there are more than 10 apprentices in Pinghu, Zhejiang, with a total area of more than 1,000 mu.
His output value per mu is 30,000 yuan, and his apprentices are also on average 15,000 yuan, which is much higher than planting other cash crops. For a time, grapes became a "cash cow" in the eyes of farmers in southern Shanghai.
In order to teach the technology to the apprentices more efficiently, with the support of the agricultural departments of Shanghai Municipality and Jinshan District, Lu Yujin had to hold more than a dozen free training courses every year, attracting 400-500 people to attend the lessons each time, including many growers from Fengxian, Qingpu and Songjiang. He still remembers that once he borrowed the conference room of the Luxiang Town Government to attend a class, and as a result, the battery cars of the trainees blocked the gate of the town government, and the conference room could not sit down, almost "crowded", and many people had to stand outside to listen to the lecture.
