Quantity limit
The B737-700/B737-800 is limited to 1 small animal, and other small animal models can carry up to 2 small animals. Each passenger can only check in 1 container on the same flight, and a maximum of 1 animal in each container.
The total weight of each container containing small animals (including the small animals in them, as well as the weight of food and water) must not exceed 32KG, otherwise it must be transported as cargo.
Packaging and container requirements
If you are using a split air-specific travel container, the locks of all the connecting parts of the container must be intact, and the locks, bolts and nuts must not be missing; at the same time, the doors and boxes need to be locked by an additional method, but the additional method must not cause injury to the small animal.
Air China does not accept containers that do not meet the requirements for carriage by air for check-in
(1) The material of the door is composed of glass fiber or rigid plastic
(2) The size of the vent allows the nose or paws of the animal to protrude
(3) In addition to the door, there is a door at the top or a ventilation hole at the lower end of the side wall of the box.
(4) The left and right sides of the pet box (adjacent to the pet box door) openings or ventilation holes are not covered by metal mesh.
It is necessary to contact Air China in advance to confirm that the dimensions should meet the requirements of the aircraft door size and cabin volume, and at the same time meet the needs of small animals that can stand, turn around or lie down naturally.
Air suitcase for pets:
Length: Not less than the length of the pet + 1/2 length of the forelimbs
Width: When there is only 1 small animal in the kennel, the width is small animal shoulder width X2
Height: The height of the top of the head or the end of the ear when the animal is standing naturally (whichever is higher)
Document requirements
Quarantine certificate, service dog must also provide service dog certificate, if you purchase an international ticket, you must fully understand the entry, exit, transit information, applicable laws and regulations and other important travel information of the country of travel before purchasing the ticket. When traveling, you must ensure that you carry all valid travel documents and other relevant information, proofs, etc. and comply with the entry, exit, transit or other regulatory requirements of the country you are traveling.
Request flight coverage
1. There is no restriction on the place of origin.
2. Air China's actual point-to-point (including stopovers), as well as domestic to domestic and domestic to international small animal transit transportation scheduled services through Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu with a transit time of more than 2.5 hours.
3. The aircraft without oxygen cabin cannot carry small animals, and the details are subject to the result of the application.
4. Small animals are not allowed to be transported as checked baggage at Hong Kong Airport, but must be transported as cargo.
Notice for boarding
1. Cats and dogs that are pregnant and not more than 8 weeks old, cats and dogs that are breastfeeding, and cats and dogs within 7 days of childbirth cannot be received or transported.
2. Small animals that do not meet the conditions of carriage may refuse carriage. If you abandon the check-in of small animals, you can check in according to the normal procedures, and if you request to change to another flight, you should follow the voluntary change regulations.
3. Air China reserves the right to adjust the aircraft type before the flight departs, and if the passenger's flight is unable to carry small animals due to the adjustment of the aircraft type, you can choose to abandon the checked small animals or take other flights that can carry small animals instead.
4. Small animals carried by passengers are not allowed to be carried in the cabin and must be carried in the cargo hold. Passengers are solely responsible for checked small animals. Air China shall not be liable for injuries, illnesses, escapes and deaths of small animals under normal conditions of transport.
5. Small animals are not allowed to declare the value of their baggage.
