With the growing global call for "carbon emissions", major legendary supercar manufacturers have also begun to "electrocute". Recently, Aston Martin, an ultra-luxury car brand from the United Kingdom, released an "electric shock" product in China - the new model DBX STRAIGHT-SIX.

As a new addition to the Aston Martin DBX family, the new car is equipped with a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine for the first time.

The new car, which starts at a suggested retail price of $1,898,000, is now officially on sale, with the first orders scheduled for delivery to customers in January 2022.

Luxury is still synonymous with the Aston Martin DBX model, the DBX STRAIGHT-SIX has not changed much from the previously released V8 model in appearance, the family-style large mouth design is very domineering, and the engine cover also has this opening design, reflecting the sporty performance.

From the side of the car, the new car continues the identity of the Aston Martin supercar manufacturer, more like a coupe, and the overall line is very dynamic and smooth. The biggest change in the sides was the addition of the word STRAIGHT-SIX to the vents of the fenders, indicating its identity.

The DBX STRAIGHT-SIX has no compromises in terms of luxurious interiors, elegant exterior design, iconic Aston Martin handling and power performance.

The overall configuration of the DBX STRAIGHT-SIX is the same as the 22-year DBX V8 released in July, including the addition of wireless charging for mobile phones and a new selection of interior themes.

It is worth noting that the DBX STRAIGHT-SIX is equipped with a new 3.0 L inline six-cylinder powertrain, matched with mild hybrid technology, replacing the traditional starter motor and alternator with a 48V integrated starter generator (ISG).

In terms of power parameters, the DBX STRAIGHT-SIX has a high performance performance of 435 hp and 520 Nm of torque, and the new 48V integrated start-up generator system (ISG) achieves a smooth start and taxi stop at low speeds, reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

The DBX STRAIGHT-SIX is equipped with a 48V electric supercharger that provides instantaneous torque response, eliminates hysteresis at low speeds for large-displacement turbos, and provides instantaneous acceleration performance assistance, with new cars accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and up to 259 km/h.

As soon as the engine speed is out of the idle zone, the ISG and the electric supercharger work together to deliver nearly 50% of the torque. The beltless electric assist system also eliminates additional losses, allowing some functions on the DBX STRAIGHT-SIX to be activated on demand, further increasing efficiency and the driving experience.

The DBX STRAIGHT-SIX on-board electrical system is equipped with 12V and 48V batteries mounted under the rear trunk, and the lightweight design of the engine reduces the weight of the vehicle by up to 30 kg, reducing the fuel consumption of the WLTC from 13.0L/100km to 10.5L/100km compared to the DBX V8 version.

At present, the Chinese market has developed into one of the most important markets for the Aston Martin brand, with sales growth of more than 600% in 2021. Among them, DBX accounts for more than 70% of sales in the Chinese market.

Since the aston Martin brand officially launched in the Chinese market, the network of franchised dealers in China has increased from 4 to 22. Together with Aston Martin Guangzhou, which opens at the end of November, the dealership will reach 23.

Tobias Moers, CEO of Aston Martin, said: "The Chinese market is Aston Martin's fastest growing market, Chinese customers are extremely important to us, and the DBX with the new electrified inline six-cylinder engine will bring more choices to Chinese customers. ”
