Chen Yucheng admired the 3 people, why didn't there be Dolonga? The King can't beat Doronga

In May 1862, King Chen Yucheng was disheartened by his fellow native Li Xiucheng of Fujian County, and did not expect him to come to his rescue, after all, the relationship between the two was already very stiff. In order to make a comeback, Chen Yucheng could only make one adventure, going to Shouzhou to contact Miao Peilin, known as the "Wall Head Grass", and using his million-strong army to reverse the decline. As a result, it was known that Chen Yucheng was captured in Shouzhou, and Miao Peilin sent him to Shengbao Lingchi for execution.

Before his death, Chen Yucheng made a comment on the Qing generals. In Chen Yucheng's eyes, there were only three Qing generals who could fight, "two Li and one Bao", and the rest were very general. And Li, that is, Li Xubin and Li Mengqun; Yi Bao, is the fierce general Bao Chao. This is interesting, the Eight Banners famous general Duolong'a, often defeated Chen Yucheng, why is not the object of the King's admiration?

Dolonga, a Manchurian White Bannerman and a Member of the Daur ethnic group, was the leader of the Qing Dynasty's "Solun Soldiers". Doronga, whose family was poor in his early years, grazed cattle for others for a living, and also developed a good skill. Doron adept at riding and shooting, good at using firearms, and can maintain high shooting accuracy on fast-moving warhorses.

In 1853, during the Taiping Northern Expedition, Lin Fengxiang and Li Kaifang led 20,000 elite soldiers to sweep through the Central Plains. In order to stop the Northern Expeditionary Army, the Xianfeng Emperor transferred the Eight Banners horse team from the three eastern provinces, and the "Solun soldiers" once again went to the battlefield and became a fierce enemy of the Taiping Army.

Under the command of Senggelinqin, Dolonga rushed to the front every battle, fought bravely in the battle, and made great achievements. After the failure of the Northern Expedition, Dolonga did not return to Guanwai, but was transferred to Hubei to fight against the Western Expeditionary Army. In the Hubei battlefield, Duolonga began to stand alone.

In the Hubei Campaign, Duolong'a was subordinate to The Hulin Wing, and the main opponent was the British King Chen Yucheng, and the two often fought fiercely. In 1857, at the Battle of Huangmei, while Duolong'a was holding the camp, he sent troops to detour and raid, and Chen Yucheng was defeated and returned to Anhui.

In December 1858, Chen Yucheng won the Three Rivers Victory, and then attacked Taihu Lake and Qianshan with all his might, and Duolonga once again defeated Chen Yucheng and reversed the decline of the Xiang army in Anhui. Next, the Battle of Erlang River broke out, Duolong'a and Chen Yucheng fought, and the Taiping Army was defeated again.

In early 1860, Chen Yucheng gathered heavy troops and attacked Qianshan again, but the opponent was still Duolonga. As a result, we all know that Chen Yucheng has failed again. In October of the same year, Chen Yucheng and Duolong'a engaged in battle at the Trailer River southwest of Tongcheng, where they were defeated by the Eight Banners Horse Team. Tongcheng was defeated, and Chen Yucheng could not directly rescue Anqing, but could only turn to Li Xiucheng for help.

In May 1861, Chen Yucheng returned to Anqing from Hubei and fought against Duolong'a continuously, but he was still unable to break through the defensive line built by the Eight Banners and Horses. Until the fall of Anqing, the reinforcements of the Taiping Army were blocked outside Anqing, and the initiative in the battlefield between Tongcheng and Anqing was firmly controlled in the hands of Duolong'a.

After the fall of Anqing, Chen Yucheng retreated to Luzhou, and Duolong'a took advantage of the victory to pursue, besieging the Taiping army in an isolated city. In desperation, Chen Yucheng had to choose to break out and go to Shouzhou to find the unreliable Miao Peilin. As a result, Miao Peilin was indeed "not talking about martial virtue", captured Chen Yucheng, and gave him to the Minister of Chincha, Shengbao, and Ling Chi was executed.

It can be said that it was Duolong'a who forced the British king Chen Yucheng to a dead end. Interestingly, among those whom the King admired, there was no doronga name, so why? In terms of combat effectiveness, Bao Chao, Li Xubin, Li Mengqun, and so on are not Duolong'a's opponents. You know, if Doron a did not die in the middle of the battle, Zuo Zongtang would not have the opportunity to preside over the military affairs of the Western Expedition, and modern history would be a different scene.

Duolong'a is not in the "three-man group" admired by King Chen Yucheng, it is not that he is not good at combat effectiveness, but Chen Yucheng admires people, and all have a typical characteristic, that is, they pursue the word "fierce" in combat, dare to use inferior troops, and have a hard superiority over troops, even if the battle is lost. You know, Chen Yucheng is this type of general.

At the Battle of Zhenjiang, Chen Yucheng drove the lone boat alone, braved the rain of bullets and bullets to rush to kill, and consulted with the defender Wu Ruxiao on the strategy of breaking the enemy and lifting the siege of the city. In the Battle of Wuchang, 16-year-old Chen Yucheng led a 50-man "death squad" to risk being blown away by mines, rushed into the gap and took Wuchang.

Bao Chao, Li Mengqun, and Li Xubin are also "fierce generals" who dare to fight and fight in blood. Among them, Bao Chao fought more than 500 battles in his lifetime, suffered 108 injuries, but never flinched, and was very brave. Li Mengqun, the Hubei battlefield to meet the Taiping Army with inferior troops, hurt Chen Yucheng, and impressed him deeply.

Chen Yucheng admired the 3 people, why didn't there be Dolonga? The King can't beat Doronga

Relatively speaking, The advantage of Dolonga is not "fierce", but strategic, and the specific operation is performed by others. The Battle of Taihu Lake, the Battle of Qianshan, the Battle of Erlang River, the Battle of Xiaochiyi, Duolong'a's advice, Bao Chao and the Taiping Army. At the Battle of Tongcheng, Duolong'a plotted, the Xiang army under Li Xuyi was the main force, and the Eight Banners Horse Team was more of a detour raid.

Another point is that Dolonga is a white flag person, and in the eyes of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, the Qing Dynasty is a "demon", a "Hu Yu", and an object that needs to be eliminated. In this way, the object of Chen Yucheng's admiration naturally did not have the famous general Duolong'a from the Eight Banners, which was also expected. However, Duolonga was really powerful and his means were also fierce, and during the western conquest of Shaanxi and Gansu, Duolonga showed his performance vividly.
