The reason why Dell leaked the news, mainly because Intel can overclock the K series processor, usually for the DIY market, and can not overclock the non-K series processor, there are a large number of desktop OEMs to use, so like Dell, Lenovo, HP and other manufacturers, should have obtained all processor models from Intel very early. Dell leaked the models of these processors in its product list this time, which can only show that these processors are actually not far from being released.
Dell's announced processors are all models that cannot be overclocked, which is of course completely different from the six processors that Intel has released, the highest model is the i9 12900/F, and the lowest model is the i3 12100/F, which is basically the same as the previous retailer leak. Of course, compared to the version that can be overclocked, OEMs prefer models that cannot be overclocked, and the price is cheaper and more in line with the needs of OEM manufacturers, so it is not surprising that Intel launched these products.
And it should be noted that in the era of Core that cannot be overclocked, the entire series is 65W TDP power consumption, and the K series processors that can overclock are all 125W TDP. Compared with the K series processors that can overclock, the processors that cannot overclock have a certain degree of decline in the core frequency, but the maximum acceleration frequency is not much worse, so if it is equipped with enough good heat dissipation, its performance is still not bad.
Among these processors that cannot be overclocked, the most interesting of which is several i5 processors, such as i5 12600 and below, compared to the version that can be overclocked, there is less efficiency core, which should be a product that mainstream gamers are more interested in, the price is cheaper, the large core is also very suitable for games and some heavy software, and because there is no need to consider the problem of scheduling the core, Win10 should also be able to play its performance.
As for the timing of the listing, some retailers said they expect the i3 12100, i5 12400, i5 12500 and i9 12900 to be available as early as November 26, 2021. At the same time, all 12th-generation Core processors that cannot be overclocked will be launched at the 2022 CES Show and will be available in the first quarter of next year.
Of course, for many people, the most incredible thing is that in the processor leaked by Dell this time, many of them are models with F, and they do not have a core display. This may surprise many users, as many of these processors are mainstream or mid-range processors and are not necessarily used for gaming. So for some users, it seems more necessary to match a nuclear display, after all, an entry-only display is also about 500 yuan, cutting off the nuclear display of so many graphics cards, it feels really not kind. However, considering that Intel also wants to launch low-end products in the exclusive display market, it is not excluded that this is also a commercial means, so that its entry-level low-end graphics card also has the opportunity to gain the favor of this part of the user.
Dell's credibility of this leak is beyond doubt, and now it depends on the price at which Intel released these processors. If there are a large number of models without a centralized display on the i3 or i5 processor, we do not know whether these products can appear in the retail market.
