On November 13, the 2021 World Young Scientists Summit was officially opened in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province. At the opening ceremony, Wang Hao, deputy secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and acting governor of Zhejiang Province, delivered a speech.
Wang Hao pointed out that over the past two years, the comprehensive strength of scientific and technological innovation in Zhejiang Province has ranked first in the country, and young scientific and technological talents have become an important and living force for scientific and technological innovation in Zhejiang Province.
Wang Hao said that at present, Zhejiang regards scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement as a strategic support, focuses on the construction of the three major science and technology innovation highlands of "Internet +", life and health, and new materials, accelerates the construction of major scientific research platform facilities, vigorously carries out key core technology research, accelerates the development of high-tech industries, focuses on building a global talent reservoir, and comprehensively optimizes the innovation and entrepreneurship creation ecology.
Wang Hao hopes that Wenzhou will give full play to the advantages of hosting the World Young Scientists Summit, promote exchanges and cooperation among young scientists, stimulate the innovation vitality of young scientists, and let more young scientific and technological talents display their ambitions and achieve their dreams.
