At 12:00 on November 10th, Sanda College invited Ms. Chen Huiping of the College of Art And Media and the 2018 animation students to carry out the "Tie-dye Art Light Up Life" experience activity in Yi Space, leading the students into the world of tie-dye and feeling the unique charm of tie-dye art, and the deans and teachers from the School of Art and Media participated in it.
Recognize traditional culture and feel the beauty of tie-dye. Through Teacher Chen's explanation, the students learned that tie-dye is an ancient textile dyeing process, called "strand dyeing" in ancient China, and the folk image is called "knot dyeing", which uses threads and ropes to tighten the knots, tie, bundle, tie and sew the fabric, and then put it into the dyeing liquid for boiling and dyeing. Due to the different weights of force in the ligation and the different elasticity of the rope binding, the color halo effect of local dyeing or shades and light and dark gradients will appear on the fabric.

After voting and commenting on tie-dye works on the spot, the students enthusiastically threw themselves into the colorful world of tie-dye. After getting the tie-dye materials, everyone folded and tied the thread according to the teacher's explanation, and then slowly dipped the color of the cloth after tying. A small piece of cloth, under the whimsy of the students, seems to have been magically cast, and a few strokes of color have shown many changes. Looking at their own works, the students were amazed. Participant Yang Jingyuan said: "This tie-dye activity made me deeply touched, I not only felt the fun of tie-dye activities at the event site, but also had a certain understanding of the traditional tie-dye culture. The reason why tie-dye is so enduring in the present is that it gives folk art more interest, and no one knows whether the work will be successful until the work is opened.
