Founded in 1899, Aum Company was initially a manufacturer of railway equipment, and in 1918 took over the Zust Automobile Company in Brescia, northern Italy, and then established a car and truck manufacturing company, and the initial production of the Tipo S305 car was actually Zust's model. In 1933 Aum was acquired by the Fiat Group and operated independently. In 1968, it was incorporated into the group by Fiat as a sub-brand of its commercial vehicle division, and after full integration into the IVECO brand in 1975, the Aum brand disappeared from the truck and bus market, after which the Aum brand was acquired by Linde Group mainly for forklift production.
