Teacher Cheng Zhi (February 3, 1926 – February 4, 1995), formerly known as Cheng Huichun, was born in Wuhan. In 1928, he moved to Shanghai with his family. In 1944, he was admitted to the Department of Economics of Fudan University, and in the same year, he abandoned his studies and changed his name to Cheng Zhi and was admitted to the Shanghai Opera Experimental Theater Troupe as an actor.
Since 1947, Mr. Cheng has been an actor in Wenhua Film Company. He played the villain in films such as "Nightclub", "Long Live the Wife", "Table", "Corrosion" and so on
(Chief Qi in "Corrosion") and successfully played the police chief in "My Life"
In 1957, he won the second prize of the Ministry of Culture's 1949-1955 Excellent Film Awards. After becoming an actor in the upper film studio in 1952, he appeared in "Chicken Feather Letter"
