In response to US Secretary of State Blinken's recent remarks that it is necessary to find ways to mitigate the impact caused by the completion of the "Nord Stream-2" natural gas pipeline project, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zakharova said at a regular press conference on the 10th that the Russian side did not understand.
Zakharova stressed that any assertion by U.S. politicians and experts about the project implies unfair competition or attempts to politicize.

Zakharova said that Nord Stream-2 is a purely economic project that is mutually beneficial and transparent from beginning to end, and is conducive to the energy security of Germany and Europe as a whole. This project will be decided by Russia and European countries independently, but the United States has been blocking this project that has nothing to do with the American continent out of its own selfish interests.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zakharova: Any assertion on this topic (project) implies unfair competition or politicalization intentions, and this project has no negative impact on European countries and the European continent at all. The United States must be forced to admit that the project has been implemented, and it is good for them to recognize the reality.
On the same day, Gazprom said that the construction of the first pipeline of the "Nord Stream-2" project at the technical level has been completed, and the inflatable commissioning of the pipeline will be started on the 11th, and the laying of the second pipeline is steadily advancing.
