Dwight Howard, the big man of the Los Angeles Lakers, made some interesting comments about the situation with the Philadelphia 76ers and Ben Simmons.

Dwight Howard comments on Ben Simmons' situation

"Well, you know, I feel like I'm a part of me, and I can see what happened to me and Ben Simmons when I was in Orlando. Something similar happened. I just don't like to make it public no matter what's going on inside. Obviously, I'm often with Ben Simmons and he's one of my closest friends, so I'm sad to hear all the things about him... When we played against the Hawks last season and we lost, I was sad that Ben Simmons was in that game. I wanted him to dunk and tear up the basket, but he didn't do it, and it wasn't just his fault. So my point is that we can't just blame him. ”

Dwight said something very convincing to the 76ers star. Philadelphia made the matter public, which made the whole situation worse. Simmons didn't like the 76ers coaching staff and teammates' public lash out at him after losing to the Atlanta Hawks.

Dwight recognizes that Simmons isn't all the responsibility, and he also realizes that the 76ers lost to the Hawks in the Eastern Conference playoffs last season wasn't all because of Ben. Simmons hasn't played a single game for the 76ers this season. It's unclear when he'll be back, if possible.
