The Sichuan area was the area that the Kuomintang had long focused on, and it was also the last liberated area, so during the town counter-movement, Sichuan also became a key area for investigating bandits, and the investigators of the Public Security Bureau checked suspicious people on the streets every day.
One day, when a detective named Gao Junfeng in Chengdu was checking the street as usual, he went to the cigarette store to buy a box of cigarettes, and after paying, Gao Junfeng took out a fire and lit one.
After swallowing two mouthfuls, the whole person's mental state relaxed a little, and then he habitually glanced at the store and saw that the boss was reading the newspaper.
Just this glance made Gao Junfeng feel that something was wrong, the overall level of knowledge and culture of the people in that era was low, most of the vendors were not literate, and few people could read the newspaper.
Looking at this boss again, when reading the newspaper, sitting on a chair with his legs together, sitting in a precarious position, his back chest straight, and his hands lifting the newspaper over his chest, this sitting posture is also too decent.

She gently placed the cut tea on the table in front of her husband, and the cigarette shop owner who was reading the newspaper did not lift his eyelids, continued to read with the newspaper in one hand, and held the teacup in the other.
After a strong cup of tea, the middle-aged woman naturally refilled his cup, and the boss naturally enjoyed the woman's service, and the woman handed him a cigarette and lit a fire.
The interaction between the two is quite natural and smooth, obviously due to the perennial family status and habits, Gao Junfeng secretly thought, "This small boss's shelf is really not small", such a big style is probably not simple!
Gao Junfeng then began to ask nearby residents about the history of the cigarette shop owner, and after clever inquiry, he learned that the boss's name was Wang Jiabin, not the "sitting cannon" here, but a year ago with his wife and children, who came here to open a shop.

After asking this sentence, Wang Jiabin felt a hint of strangeness, these three people entered the door without looking at the counter and did not pick up cigarettes, looking around, which would be even more to brush their eyes together and cast on themselves, so that they were watched, Wang Jiabin unconsciously shivered.
People can't do bad things, otherwise they will be in the shadow of a bow and a snake all their lives, and there will be no peace, wang Jiabin immediately feels bad, these people seem to have come to arrest him, so they have raised their vigilance.
One of them walked up to Wang Jiabin and asked, "Is your name Wang Jiabin?" ”
Wang Jiabin replied, "Well, I'm Wang Jiabin, what are you?" ”
After saying this, he heard the man say sharply: "We are from the Chengdu Public Security Bureau, and we have been ordered to arrest you. With that, he took out an arrest warrant from his pocket.
When Wang Jiabin heard this, he immediately panicked and said, "Why did you arrest me?" I didn't do anything bad, you must have made a mistake, comrade policeman..."
"Wrong, right, just go to the public security bureau with us." Three police officers stepped forward to handcuff Wang Jiabin and prepare to escort him away.
Wang Jiabin's wife heard the movement in the back room and hurried out to see, she thought it was a quarrel with the neighbors, when she saw that the handcuffs were all put on, she was momentarily confused, and reflexively threw herself on Wang Jiabin with a crying voice, shouting: "Boss, this is a matter, what are you doing to arrest me as the head of the house?" ”
Wang Jiabin, who still wanted to resist, saw his wife like this, instantly turned to God, and said to his wife: "Nothing, it must be that they are mistaken, I will tell them clearly that there will be no problem, you take care of the baby, take care of the store, I will come back when I go!" ”
After saying that, he obediently left with the public security comrades in the sound of his wife crying and shouting.
The neighbors watched Wang Jiabin being handcuffed and escorted to the car, and soon began to talk about it, this foreigner who moved here with his wife and children a year ago to open a cigarette shop, usually silent and taciturn, not showing the mountains and dew, what kind of person, what did he do, let people be arrested?
That night, public security interrogators interrogated Wang Jiabin, but Wang Jiabin refused to admit that he had been a Kuomintang official, insisting that he had not done anything bad.
Seeing this situation, the interrogators did not bend the corner and directly asked: "In 1946, two university professors were assassinated in Kunming, Yunnan Province. ”
Wang Zimin replied, "I've heard of it."

When he heard the long-lost name of Wang Zimin, Wang Jiabin knew that the public security personnel had already seen through their disguise, and no matter how cunning they were, they confessed their crimes like a deflated balloon.
It turned out that Wang Jiabin, the seemingly honest-looking cigarette shop owner, whose real name was Wang Zimin, had been the chief inspector of the Kuomintang's Yunnan Garrison General Headquarters and was one of the executioners who assassinated Li Gongpu and Wen Yiduo.
According to Wang Jiabin's confession, the public security department quickly sorted out the process of the Kuomintang reactionaries assassinating Li Gongpu and Wen Yiduo.
After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the whole country was opposed to the civil war and called for peace, and in June 1946, the Democratic League and people from all walks of life who longed for peace launched a 10,000-signature campaign in Kunming, Yunnan Province, which caused a great sensation in order to call for peace.
The Kuomintang reactionaries felt a great deal of pressure, and in order to break the predicament, they began to brutally persecute the leaders of the Democratic League and the democracy movement, and for this reason they also specially drew up an assassination list, and the names of more than thirty patriotic and progressive professors, such as Li Gongpu, Wen Yiduo, Wu Han, Zhu Jiabi, and Chu Tunan, jumped on the assassination list.
In order to undermine peace and the plan to assassinate progressives to proceed smoothly, Huo Yunzhang, then commander of the Yunnan Security Department, also specially held a detailed discussion and study with Chief of Staff Liu Shuhuan in early July 1946, Wang Zimin, director of the Inspection Department of the Security Command, and Cai Yunqi, captain of the intelligence team of the Second Reserve Division of the Kuomintang Second Army in Kunming, to determine the assassination plan.
They first extended their claws to Mr. Lee Gong-pu.
On the evening of July 10, 1946, the agent responsible for the assassination of Li Gongpu was informed that Li Gongpu would pass by Beimen Street that night, so he ambushed and prepared for assassination.
However, that night, Li Gongpu temporarily changed his itinerary, and these assassination agents were busy in vain.
The next day, the Kuomintang agents received accurate information, and Li Gongpu and his wife were going out in the evening, and the agents waited for the opportunity to move again.
At about nine o'clock that night, Li Gongpu and his wife got off the bus, walked home, and the secret agents Tang Shiliang, Wu Chuanyun, and others who had been following them shot at Li Gongpu taking advantage of the rain in the sky and the darkness of the night.
Seeing that Mr. Li fell to the ground in response, the gangsters quickly fled and disappeared into the night.
Nearby students heard the gunshots and rushed to the hospital to rush Mr. Li Gongpu, who was shot, but unfortunately Mr. Li lost too much blood and died of ineffective rescue.
After Mr. Li Gongpu's death, the Kuomintang reactionaries, in order to clear up their involvement, spread rumors everywhere such as "Li Gongpu committed suicide" and "Li Gongpu died of love killing."
Harming people's lives first, damaging people's reputations later, and the behavior of the Kuomintang reactionaries on Mr. Li can no longer be summed up simply by "shamelessness."
Mr. Wen Yiduo was heartbroken in the face of the departure of his comrades-in-arms, and hated the shameless deeds of the enemy to the bone.
After the bad news came to Mr. Li, he turned his grief into a driving force for resisting the Kuomintang reactionaries, and he devoted all his energy to Mr. Li Gongpu's memorial activities, running for peace and resisting the Kuomintang reactionaries.
Mr. Wen Yiduo's actions resonated with all sectors of society, which greatly stimulated the nerves of the Kuomintang reactionaries, especially the assassination agents, who frantically wanted to get rid of Mr. Wen Yiduo.
On July 15, Mr. Wen Yiduo ignored the violent threats of the agents and attended a memorial service for Mr. Li Gongpu at Yunnan University, where he delivered an impassioned speech.
He was questioning: "The most despicable and shameless thing in History has happened in Kunming!" What crime did Mr. Li commit that he was poisoned by? He was merely writing with a pen and speaking with his mouth, and what he wrote and said was nothing more than a Chinese's words" that had not lost his conscience.
He choked up, "Why fight and kill, and don't dare to kill in a brazen manner, but sneak to assassinate!" ”
He asked in a sharp voice, "Is there any spy here today?" You stand up! Be a good man of yours stand up! You come out and speak! Why kill Mr. Lee? Kill people, dare not admit it, and slander people... Shameless! Shameless! ”
This awe-inspiring and heart-warming speech, which denounced the shamelessness of the Kuomintang reactionaries and once again aroused the desire of the sons and daughters of China for peace, caused a great sensation at that time and was also highly sought after by posterity.
"The Last Speech", as the name suggests, this is Mr. Wen Yiduo's last speech, because after attending Mr. Li Gongpu's memorial service, the agents who jumped the wall of the dog rushed to extend the claws of evil to Mr. Wen Yiduo.
The main agent in charge of carrying out this mission was Wang Zimin, who heard that after attending the memorial service, he would also attend a press conference held by the Democracy Weekly Of Yunnan University in the afternoon.
Wang Zimin divided the agents into three groups, one led by Cai Yunqi, who had been responsible for monitoring and tracking, mixed into the venue to intercept and transmit intelligence; the second group, led by Qin Yonghe, was responsible for stalking the wind from the periphery; and there was also an action group, led by Li Mingshan and Tang Shiliang, who ambushed near Mr. Wen Yiduo's dormitory, waiting for an opportunity to carry out an assassination.

At about 5 p.m., Mr. Wen Yiduo said goodbye to the comrades of the newspaper and left the venue accompanied by his eldest son Wen Lihe, who was only a hundred steps away from Wen Yiduo's dormitory, and the father and son walked back to the dormitory while chatting.
Immediately when he arrived at the door of the dormitory, Cai Yunqi, who had been lurking for a long time, jumped out first and shot at Mr. Wen, and then Li Mingshan and others also rushed out and shot at Mr. Wen Yiduo, and the dense bullets swept in, and Mr. Wen was killed on the spot.
Wen Lihe immediately pounced on his father, and was also shot several times, fell in a pool of blood, and finally recovered a life by chance.
According to Wang Zimin's own confession, one of the principles of the Kuomintang reactionaries in carrying out assassinations is to take the target of assassination to a place where no one is, or to shoot a black gun in the dark, and it is still very rare to be as blatant as the assassination of Wen Yiduo.
The main reason for this situation is that Wang Zimin had promised before the assassination that a heavy reward would be offered to the successful assassins, so the agents involved in the assassination could not care about the purpose of organizing and doing things in order to compete for merit, and rushed to do things, of which Cai Yunqi, Tang Shiliang, and Li Wenshan "contributed" the most.
Afterwards, Wang Zimin had no choice but to reward the executioners according to their promises, rewarding Tang Shiliang and Wu Chuanyun with 500,000 yuan and Li Wenshan with 300,000 yuan.
The assassinations of Li Gongpu and Wen Yiduo, two democracy fighters, caused an uproar in society, and peace-loving people all over the country took to the streets, shouting and demonstrating, demanding that the Kuomintang authorities severely punish the murderers.
Under the pressure of public opinion, Chiang Kai-shek, who had not yet torn off the guise of democracy, could no longer pretend to be deaf and dumb, and sent Tang Zhong, director of the National Police Bureau, to thoroughly investigate the case.
Huo Yuzhang saw that old Jiang had the intention of blaming, so he thought of another trick of "Li Dai Tao Zombie", and after consulting with Wang Zimin and others, decided to kill a few more people, muddy the water, and take the opportunity to blame the Communist Party.
Wang Zimin selected two unlucky eggs, Xie Cheng, the inspector of the inspection office, and Yuan Yuan, the clerk of the inspection office, and Xu Shaojie, the chief of the third section of the inspection office, and dragged the two to a place outside the city where there was no one to execute them, disguised as "another bloody case after the assassination of Li Gongpu by the Communist Party and Wen Yiduo."

But the eyes of the masses were shining, and the ghost tricks of Huo Yunzhang and others were soon exposed, and the undead Huo Yunzhang once wanted to throw dirty water on the warlord Long Yun family that dominated Yunnan, and arrested Long Yun's aide Yang Lide and tortured him to extract a confession.
Tang Zhong saw huo yizhang playing tricks in Kunming one after another, but he did not help himself to solve the case, and he did not get it so bad that he bothered himself, so he reported all these small actions of Huo Yunzhang to Chiang Kai-shek.
Chiang Kai-shek sent several telegrams in a row to huo yizhang to see him, but Huo Yuzhang dragged himself until he had beaten Yang Lide into a confession, and on the way to Nanjing, he continued to spread rumors that Yang Lide, the prisoner who assassinated Li Gongpu and Wen Yiduo, had confessed and pointed the spearhead directly at Long Yun's third son, Long Shengzeng.
As a result, Li Yiping, vice president of the Provisional Senate of Yunnan Province, stood up and testified that Long Sheng had returned to his hometown of Zhaotong in the summer of 1945, and it was impossible to persecute Li and Wen.
Long Yun, who had been splashed with dirty water, was furious and publicly issued a statement that he wanted to confront Huo Yizhang in court, which made Chiang Kai-shek very big.
On July 25, Huo Yizhangcai went to Lushan to meet Chiang Kai-shek, and just as he triumphantly reported his "masterpiece" to Chiang Kai-shek and waited for the chairman of the committee to praise him, the old Chiang kai-shek was so angry that he scolded "Niang Xipi" and scolded Huo Yizhang to the point of bloodshed.
Huo Yunzhang
Being clever and inferior in his means was simply a laugh and a generosity, pushing the Kuomintang authorities and Chiang Kai-shek into a rather embarrassing situation.
Chiang Kai-shek looked at this stupid but loyal subordinate, but he was also quite helpless, or he had to quickly find a way to deal with the Assassination Case in Kunming and remove the Kuomintang authorities, so he sent Gu Zhutong to Kunming to settle the case.
After Gu Zhutong, Leng Xin, deputy staff officer of the Army Headquarters, and Zhang Zhen, commander of the gendarmerie, arrived in Kunming, they immediately detained all the members of the action team involved in the assassination of Li Gongpu and Wen Yiduo.
In line with the principle of "turning big things into small things and small things into small things," Gu Zhutong made a move to "abandon the car and protect the marshal." He used qian quan as bait and selected two spies to come out and confess their guilt, and in the name of "standing up to the chest and being martyrs," Gu Zhutong also vowed to ensure the safety of their lives.
Although the assurances of The Chief Officer Gu Zhutong were sufficient in the hearts of the Kuomintang agents, the agents still muttered in their hearts what kind of character the Kuomintang high-level officials were, and they also understood what kind of errands they were running errands.
The prince in charge of the mobilization was full of vigor and emotion, and mobilized in tears at the members of the action team: "Rest assured, I will not let you have a problem, I will replace you when you are executed, as long as you go to the court and go through the formalities" "Whoever is willing to come forward to deal with the public trial is loyal to the country and the leader" "The party-state will not treat the warriors badly..."
It may be that the atmosphere of the princes and the people is well set off, so that the blood of the agents is boiling, of course, it is more likely that the bonus is very tempting, and the high price of 40 taels of gold per person is out, and only among the agents are willing to come forward and confess their guilt, and finally the prince people chose Tang Shiliang and Li Mingshan.
Above the court, Tang Shiliang and Li Mingshan, in accordance with the pre-prepared remarks given by the chief, admitted the fact of killing Mr. Wen Yiduo, but the reason for the killing was because Mr. Wen Yiduo made a public speech at the memorial service and press conference, insulted their army, and defiled their leader.
In a single remark, the Kuomintang authorities and the Yunnan Garrison Command were stripped clean, and they were just manslaughter under their personal impulses.
As for the murder of Mr. Li Gongpu, he even adopted a cold treatment, and the court did not mention anything about it, and finally sentenced Tang Shiliang and Li Mingshan to be shot, huo Yizhang was dismissed from his post, and the wen yiduo massacre that shocked China and foreign countries was hastily concluded!
The spies involved in the case, Such as Wang Zimin, Cui Zhensan, Cai Yunqi, Qin Yonghe, Bao Yutian, Liu Xilin, Zhang Wenyao, Shang Fuhai, He Yi, Wang Kaiji, Zhao Shulin, Cui Baoshan, Zhang Deming, and Ouyang Yuanhua, were all transferred to unknown places for secret custody, with very favorable treatment, and soon after they were all released, and Huo Yunzhang was also reactivated.

Since the founding of New China, our Party has never given up the pursuit of these executioners whose crimes are evident, and although the enemy is very cunning, hiding his name and hiding in the city, he cannot escape the fiery eyes of our law enforcement personnel.
Wang Zimin, who had absconded to Chengdu disguised himself as a cigarette shop owner, would never have dreamed that he would have been exposed because of the problem of reading the newspaper and sitting in his position, and after he confessed the fact that he had participated in the assassination of Mr. Wen Yiduo, on January 10, 1951, Wang Zimin was executed in Chengdu.
According to the clues provided by Wang Zimin, the public security organs accelerated the cracking of the li gongpu and Wen Yiduo cases, and soon the public security organs arrested the secret agents Cui Baoshan and Lan Peng who participated in the assassination.
Cai Yunqi, who took over his father's livelihood in Jiangsu and became the owner of the oil mill, was also the direct murderer who shot and killed Mr. Wen Yiduo, and was quickly arrested.
These evil executioners have been duly punished, and justice in this world may be late, but it will never be absent.
