Commemorating the 120th anniversary of the birth of veteran Hollywood "megaloman" actor Clark Gable

Well-dressed, personable, gentle and wild. He is the oldest Hollywood "megafame" actor Clark Gable. February 1 this year marks his 120th anniversary.

Clark Gable, formerly known as Billy Gable, was born on February 1, 1901 in the Cadiz area of Ohio. His mother died only 10 months after his birth. His father entrusted him to his grandparents, maternal grandparents and other relatives to raise him, and did not take him back until he remarried after he was two years old. At the age of 11, Gable had to drop out of school due to changes in his family's fortunes. As a child, Gable loved singing, dancing, drumming, trumpeting, and playing the piano. In his 10s, he was partial to athletics and could play a good baseball game. These beneficial exercises later equipped him with the basic qualities and inspiration of the bodybuilding body and performing arts.

In 1918 Gable left home to wander around a nearby city. By chance, he watched the famous play "Blue Bird", fell in love with acting, and often went to the theater as a volunteer newsboy, and sometimes ran the dragon suit. Later, despite his father's objections, he wandered around alone and worked in more than 10 occupations such as shoemaker, electrician, and salesman.

In 1923 Gable made a temporary cameo appearance in the Star Theatre Company, which gave him confidence in his acting talents. Later in the Star Theater Company, he became acquainted with the famous actress of the time, Josephine Dylan. Dylan Gable is 17 years old and specializes in art education. She systematically taught and practiced Gaibo theory of performance, which greatly increased Gable's acting skills. Over time, the two fell in love.

In the summer of 1924, the two came to Hollywood and married that year. Dylan changed his name to "Clark Gable" for Gable, and the two became the most bizarre couple in Hollywood history. At first, Hollywood did not accept Gable, often deriding him for having "ears as big as a bat." After playing a few minor supporting roles, Gable began to perform on stage again and made an impact in Houston. At this time, the film began to enter a sound period, and Gable's fluent English and handsome appearance became more and more noticeable.

In 1931 Gable signed a one-year contract with MGM Films. His first film was Desert of Color, which began his film career as a cowboy. He has cooperated with the big stars at that time, such as Joan Crawford and Garbo, and shot 12 films in one year, such as "Liberty Flower", "Residual Flower", "Red Dust", etc., and established a firm foothold in Hollywood with diligence and talent. In 1932 he was named one of Hollywood's top ten highest-grossing film actors.

In 1933, a film called "One Night Wind" not only made the director of the film, Frank Capra, become a popular character overnight, but also made the film's male protagonist Gable become famous overnight and occupy the wind. Gable's peter became an idol worshipped by fans, and people competed to imitate the unemployed journalist's dress, with wide coats, V-neck shirts, and wide-brimmed hats all the rage. Gable won the Oscar for Best Actor for the first time for the success of "One Night Out". This is also the first time that an Oscar nomination for Best Actor has been awarded to a comedian.

In 1935, Gable played a British naval officer directing a mutiny among soldiers in the $2 million film "Rebel Blood", which won the Academy Award for Best Picture that year, and Gable himself was nominated for best actor. In 1937, he was elected the film emperor of Hollywood by absolute superiority in the film emperor and empress selection event held that year, becoming one of the top ten high-grossing stars in the late 30s.

Gable's third wife, Carol, was the love of his life. Gable and Carroll enjoyed peaceful country life and hunting. Carroll was killed in a plane crash, and Gable inherited her legacy to join the Air Force. Gable married for the fourth time in 1949, mrs. Sylvia, van Punk's widow. Gable's fifth wife gave birth to his child, but unfortunately he couldn't see it anymore. Monroe has always regarded Gable as a father, and when the two finally have the opportunity to work together on a film, they have a wish.

Gable died of a heart attack on November 16, 1960, at the age of 59.

Gable has been married 5 times in his life, has broken out many scandals, and posterity has disparaged him, but no one can deny that he is a hollywood superstar who has dominated the film industry for decades.
