Clark Gable, born in Ohio, is an American film actor.
In 1931, Clark Gable made his first film, The Desert of Color. In 1932, he was elected one of the "Top Ten Highest-Grossing Film Actors in Hollywood" for his film "Red Dust".
In 1934, he won the Best Actor Award at the 7th Academy Awards for his comedy "One Night Gone With". In 1938, he was voted "Emperor of Cinema".
In 1939, he co-starred with Vivien Leigh in the film "Gone with the Wind", and was nominated for the 12th Academy Awards for Best Actor for his role as Brad.
In 1945, he starred in the film "Angry Sea" directed by Victor Fleming. In 1953, he starred in the movie "Red Dust".
In 1959, he was nominated for Best Actor at the 16th Golden Globe Awards for "Teacher's Love".
On November 16, 1960, Clark Gable died of a myocardial infarction in Los Angeles.
