It should not be omitted, and the wine culture created by Du Kang, the fifth major invention of China's "Four Great Inventions", should not be omitted

author:Linyi Yi shu

The "four great inventions" of ancient China have a great impact on the world's scientific and technological circles, which is a well-known thing. The influence of "wine" culture on human beings in the world is so wide that it can be said to be everywhere. The degree of human preference for wine in ancient and modern times is an indisputable fact. ,

Although the types of liquor in various countries today are different and varied, if you want to trace back to the roots, China. There is no doubt that the history of the world's wine-making industry is also the ancestor.

According to the "Historical Records" of Sima Qian of the Western Han Dynasty, Du Kang was a Xia Dynasty person, also known as Shaokang, and was the ancestor of winemaking. Later generations honored Du kang as the god of dionysus. The wine industry has a history of more than 4,000 years ago, with Du Kang as its grandfather.

Legend has it that when Du Kang was shepherding sheep on the day, he hung a bamboo tube containing millet porridge on a tree and forgot to bring it. After more than ten days, when he was grazing, he passed through this place again, only to remember, after finding it, open the bamboo tube to see, millet porridge has been fermented, not only did not break, but there was a smell of fragrant wine. After taking a sip, it tasted delicious. After taking it home, the villagers and neighbors tasted it and unanimously praised the good taste of the wine.

Du Kang is a good brainstorm, so he immersed himself in research and brewed more mellow, better and more wines to meet the needs of more people.

At that time, it was also after the progress of China's farming culture from the progress to the popularization, rice sorghum and the like have become the staple food of mankind, and the raw materials for winemaking are sufficient, and such a simple and easy to learn, nutritious and delicious wine culture has since been born and spread.

There are also many scholars who believe that Du Kang's wine was made in the Zhou Wu Dynasty, which I think is inappropriate, because there are historical records that in the Yin Shang period before the Zhou Dynasty, wine was already a popular food culture in the court.

For example, during the Yin Shang dynasty before the Zhou Dynasty, the King of Shang, in order to favor himself and live a life of absurdity and luxury to the point of no return, actually built a "wine pond meat forest" for the royal nobles to indulge, which is a reversal of evidence, and also shows that "wine" was already prevalent in the world at the time of Yin Shang.

Some people also believe that Du Kang and Liu Ling, the "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest" in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, are contemporaries, and have made up stories of "Du Kang made wine Liu Ling drunk" and "drunk for three years to pay for wine".

I also think that this is not enough evidence that the folk use their own preferences to praise the sages in their own minds.

The gist of the story is that Du Kang is famous for making wine, and Liu Ling, the "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest", is famous for his heavy drinking. One day, when Liu Ling passed by Du Kang's hotel, he saw a couplet posted on the door of the store, which read, "A fierce tiger is drunk in the mountains, and the dragon sleeps under the sea with two lights." The horizontal batch is: "Don't get drunk for three years and don't want money." After Liu Ling looked at it, he couldn't help but clap his hands and laugh. I thought to myself: I have never drunk any good wine from Liu Ling, but I have never seen such a person who boasts about haikou.

So he entered the shop and called out to the shopkeeper, "There is a very good wine, although take it, let the grandfather also taste how it tastes after getting drunk!" At this time, the owner of the shop, Du Kang, came out and warmly raised a glass of respect, and Liu Ling was also an open amount of heavy drink. Who knows, just a few glasses of wine under the belly, really feel a little drunk, staggered home, then drunk as mud, never got up again.

It wasn't until three years later, when Du Kang personally came to the door to ask for money for the wine, that the family told him that the owner had died three years ago, and Du Kang told him that it was not dead, it was drunk. A group of people came to the coffin place, opened the coffin, and a smell of wine overflowed from the coffin, only to see Liu Ling stretch out his waist, yawn, and slowly sit up while bending down and shouting: "Good wine, good wine."

Although this is a folk legend, it can also be seen that people's preference for wine, but also reverence for the inventor of wine.

I think that this wine originated in Xia, has a history of more than 4,000 years, prevailed in the shang, popularized in the Zhou, as for the Qin and Han dynasties, it has been all over the government and the opposition, and it has spread outside the country.

For example, the ancient Roman Empire outside the territory was prosperous enough, but whether he had wine at that time is unknown, even if there was wine in the Roman Empire at that time, it was a matter of nearly three thousand years, because the ancient Roman period was equivalent to the Han Dynasty to the Wei and Jin dynasties in China. It can also be said that China's wine culture is far ahead of the world for thousands of years. This benefits mankind and leads the world in wine culture. Can you say that it is another great invention of China?

Today: I listed him as one of the five world-leading inventions in China, and I don't think so!
