Bayern president Heiner said: "Bayern have lost a man who has achieved so much great, although he has not received the attention of the spotlight. A club can't succeed without someone like Weiss, who has worked for Bayern for more than 50 years. We will always be grateful to him and remember him. We also want to send condolences to his family. ”

The Weiss family has made a great contribution to the Bayern club, and Werner Weiss' father, Anton Weiss, was an honorary member of Bayern and in 1947-70 he was the coach of the Bayern youth team. During the same period, Werner Weiss' younger brother Rudy Weiss was a representative coach of the Bayern youth team.

Werner Weiss is Bayern's No. 6 member and became an honorary member of Bayern in 2007 for his outstanding contribution to the club.
