According to the official website of the Chinese Embassy in Mauritania, on September 14, Ambassador to Mauritania Zhang Jianguo resigned to pay a visit to Prime Minister Bilal of Mauta, Amar, chairman of the Coalition for the Republic of Maota's ruling party, and the Association of Graduates Studying in China. On September 15, Zhang Jianguo resigned to meet with Ahmed, chairman of the Mauta Employers Association, and Maota entrepreneurs.
Earlier, Zhang Jianguo also resigned to pay a visit to Baya, speaker of the Maota National Assembly, and attended the farewell ceremony held by the Mao-China Friendship Group of the National Assembly. On behalf of the Mao-China Friendship Group of the Mauta National Assembly, Kalifa presented a commemorative certificate to Ambassador Zhang.
According to the official resume, Zhang Jianguo, male, born in August 1962, has served in the Western European Bureau of the Central Liaison Department, the Chinese Embassy in France, the Eighth Bureau of the Central Liaison Department, and the Fourth Bureau of the Central Liaison Department. In 2011, Zhang Jianguo became deputy director of the Eighth Bureau of the Central Liaison Department, and four years later, he became the director.
In 2017, Zhang Jianguo was appointed Chinese ambassador to Mauritania.
