Who could have guessed that Supergrass had also restructured.

Ten years after the band split, and 25th anniversary of their groundbreaking debut album, I Should Coco, Super Grass announced that they would be embarking on a grand revamp tour: from the UK to Europe to the US, and released an all-encompassing boxed souvenir album.

Today, lead singer Gaz Coombes talked to NME magazine about how he and his "musical brothers" got back on the road and added to their musical "life."

"Actually, it's crazy." Garz Coopers told NME that they were about to board the Pilton Party in Glastonbury for a surprise reunion.

"We had a week of intense rehearsals and then we re-emerged and it sounded really great. Once you plug in the power and start playing, you find that we're still in tune, it feels like our legs are all tied together, it's so strange that I guess the chemistry between us never goes away. ”

In 2010, the British-era band from Oxford officially split, and then they each embarked on a "path of musical differentiation" because of the "17-year itch".

During a good time in the 1990s, Supergrass surpassed many of their British rock bands to explore the wider musical space and still enjoy a decent musical status in the first decade of the 21st century — until one day they suddenly started making a "chaotic" album "Release The Drones" influenced by German pickle rock.

So before that album was finished, the band broke down.

Now that the members of Super Grass have enjoyed years of solo careers, they are reunited, bringing with them the big news of their 2020 theater tour and a super collection of true love fans, The Strange Ones: 1994-2008.

So we interviewed Kumbers and wondered why he felt good about himself now and what other medicines they had sold in their gourds.

Kumbos: We've been talking for a while. I remember talking to Danny Goffey about a year ago and we knew that 2020 was coming, and that it was the 25th anniversary of our band and the 10th anniversary of our separation.

So it's like everything is going to make us regroup, and we all instinctively agree that it's cool to come back under one roof and play music. So we got back together and played, and that's it, really, that's it. We didn't have much of a long-term plan, we just wanted to play music together and see what would happen. It's a good feeling.

Kumbos: We were very close anyway. It's not a question of which person can't tolerate another person in the field of vision, or some endless crazy argument.

Our studio meetings parted ways because of different opinions, and yes, some of them were difficult to reconcile, but that didn't mean we couldn't sit in a bar and meet and talk about something else. The atmosphere of cooperation between us was a little tense, which led to things not being particularly decently resolved, but for the next few years, we got along ok. All was fine.

Kumbos: Well, in fact, each of us has had a very bloody experience, and in the past decade, each of us has had an incredible life, but... I guess the band's documentary doesn't have to.

It's all good, buddy, it's great to be reunited with my musical brothers. We're going to have some shows in 2020 and that's going to be cool.

Kumbos: I think our band is carefree and joyful, and doesn't pretend to be fake. Our style of behavior is relaxed, so it's a little bit different from the current music world.

Our songs are the same way, such as "Richard III", "Sun Hits The Sky" or "Caught By The Fuzz", which are humorous, but we also pour out our hearts and attitudes in them.

I don't know how different the music world is today, but I think the music industry today is exciting because in many ways there are new things sprouting. Where the fuck are the trends going? I'm really looking forward to where the trend is going, and I'm looking forward to the super grass finding its place in it. Next year we'll be laughing and bringing the joy of super grass energy to this slightly troubled world.

Kumbos: Yes, you're right. Even after the first rehearsal we could feel that unique energy. That's why rock bands are awesome, because they all have their own unique energy that makes them unique beings.

I'm so proud of what we've been doing and experienced over the years, and I'm excited at the thought of celebrating that.

Kumbos: Cliffs are the best, buddy. We've done a lot of work, and it's a real band-driven piece, definitely not something released by today's record companies that don't understand bands, and today's record companies don't understand band music at all.

We dug into various information boxes in the basement and found a lot of mini CDs and cassettes and so on, all rare items and materials that had never been released, and the process of exploring for several months was really fun. The ghost realized that we were all talking nonsense when we were recording, and there were a lot of strange little songs and jokes.

The memorial box will be very comprehensive, buddy, it contains everything. I just saw the layout of everything and it looked really great

Kumbos: Yeah, there were tracks that were never exposed, and there were studio versions and experimental versions, all the B-side songs, the accompanying live albums and some of the big shows over the years, all in it!

Kombers: No, that's not the same thing. This time we wanted to celebrate all the great songs and laugh together, and we had no plans to go back to the studio. Of course, we'll also see how things go, and I tend to never say forever.

Kumbos: I'm trying it, and it feels good, buddy! It's crazy today because I'm going to go into show mode in a minute, it's a different feeling, of course it needs some transitions, but it's good just playing music with my brothers. I've already released three and a half albums myself, so it's also a chance to take a break and I can take the stage with my beautiful brothers.

Kumbos: I don't dare say anything at this point, I think it depends on the will of the gods!
