Wei Minglun was born in 1941 in Neijiang, Sichuan. Famous contemporary playwright, essayist, and lexicographer. Known as "Bashu Ghost Talent". His representative works include "Yi Bold", "Four Girls", "Pan Jinlian", "Xizhao Qishan", "Chinese Princess Duranduo", "Changing Face", "Bashan Xiucai", "Years of Chongyang" and a number of influential opera literary scripts at home and abroad. Among them, "Yi Bold" and "Four Girls" both won the 1981 National Excellent Script Award, and "Bashan Xiucai" won the 1983 National Excellent Script Award, "Lianzhong Sanyuan", which is rare in the drama world. In particular, "Pan Jinlian" came out in 1985, causing great discussion in all walks of life, and the aftermath reverberated for more than ten years. Wei Minglun is also well versed in essays and rhetoric, and in 2012 he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Bashu Literature and Art Award.
