At the farewell ceremony of the body, a pair of ties made people move: "The birds on the shore of the unnamed lake are flying and the disease, although I am slow and slow, I will swear that it will be eternal." "The drop is: your little Dai."
"Xiao Dai" is his wife, Le Daiyun, a professor at Peking University and a pioneer of Chinese comparative literature. Wind and rain have been together for 62 years, and this is her final confession.
In 1948, 17-year-old Le Daiyun graduated from the Fourteenth Middle School in Guizhou and was admitted to four universities at the same time, despite the chaos of the army and the opposition of her father, she chose Peking University, which was the farthest from home. At that time, she was single-mindedly committed to participating in the revolution, and Peking University was the most revolutionary and open university.
In the blood of the Miao people, they are enthusiastic and straightforward, dare to speak and dare to do, soon after the beginning of the school, Le Daiyun joined the party's peripheral organizations, and later, Peking University established the New Democratic Youth League, and she served as a propaganda committee member. It was also at this time that I became acquainted with Yuichisuke, a member of the organization.
Tang Yijie is four years older than her and is a philosophy student at Peking University. He came from a family of scholars, and his father was Tang Yongtong, a professor at Peking University and a master of traditional Chinese studies.
Hazy feelings sprout in mutual appreciation. Once, when they went to the Temple of Heaven to play, Tang Yijie changed his usual restraint and gushed to Le Daiyun about "Fighting Arch" and architectural history, and in Le Daiyun's eyes, there was suddenly more admiration.
On the stage of Peking University, her talent also made him admire. Watching her organize the party and direct the activities, the petite figure was full of vitality, and in Tang Yijie's heart, Le Daiyun was "so beautiful, so passionate, so touching." Unconsciously, he fell in love with her.

A polite and introverted, a passionate, and a big difference in personality not only does not become an obstacle, but on the contrary, it attracts the other party even more.
Once, when they went to Nanyuan to work together, while lying on the grass resting, YuIchisuke grabbed a few small grasses, and seemingly randomly, he put them in the pocket of his cargo pants on Le Daiyun's chest.
There were no sweet words, but Le Daiyun's heart was pounding, "He is a subtle person, these little grasses are already very moving, at least with the feeling of agreeing with each other." In this way, among several suitors, she chose Yuichisuke.
Since then, there have been a pair of young figures on the shore of the unnamed lake, they climbed the mountain together, went to the library to read together, and on the way of love, flowers bloomed.
Life was full of passion, Le Daiyun began to pick up a pen to write, and his works were published in Beijing Liberation Daily and People's Daily. In one article, she said: "Life should burn with flames, not just smoke!" ”
After reading Vucic's "Report on the Noose Around the Neck", she recommended it to Yuichisuke. After reading it, Tang Yijie enthusiastically said in the letter: "The flame is fleeting, but it illuminates a wider area. I think, let's come together, it's the convergence of two flames! ”

There is love watering, Le Dai Yun is always enthusiastic, and participating in activities is outstanding. In the summer of 1950, she was elected as a student representative in Beijing and went to the Czech Republic to attend the Second World Student Congress. She went abroad with excitement, but Yuichisuke was worried, "She speaks Russian well, I'm afraid she won't be able to come back." ”
His worries were not superfluous. Two days before returning to China, Le Daiyun was suddenly summoned by the secretary general and asked her if she would like to stay in the external offices of the All-China Federation of Students. After thinking about it again and again, Le Dai Yun declined, and the potential reason, of course, was Tang Yijie.
In 1952, Le Daiyun graduated and stayed in school, becoming the youngest teaching assistant in the department of Chinese. In September of that year, she married Yuichisuke. There was no ring, no gift, and in the company of a good friend, Le DaiYun walked from The North Beach to YuIchisuke's home in Beihai.

At that time, New China had just been founded, and two revolutionary young people threw themselves into work with dreams. A deep foundation in traditional Chinese studies, a solid foreign language, in front of the desk, they exchange and discuss, galloping in the paradise of research, full of ambition.
No one expected that the storm would come suddenly.
In 1957, in order to enable young intellectuals to publish articles, as the secretary of the party branch, Le Daiyun organized eight young teachers to prepare a "colleague journal". Who knows, before the publications are set up, the "anti-rightist" has begun.
The publication died prematurely, but the bad luck was not escaped. As the initiator, Le Daiyun became a "far rightist" and was expelled from public office, expelled from the party, and asked to go to the countryside for labor reform. At that time, she was confinement at home.
The sudden disaster did not frighten Tang Yijie, who called the Chinese Department to express his opinion: "Le Daiyun joined the party at the age of 17, how can he be a rightist?" Word spread to the philosophy department, where he was given a severe warning because he "couldn't draw a line."
For the sake of his grandson, who has just turned a full moon, Tang Yongtong, who has always been clean and self-righteous, went against his will to the school leaders, saying that the child needed to be fed and asking for a deferral of labor reform. In this way, Le Dai Yun was lenient to eight months of childhood. As soon as the deadline arrived, the notice to go to the countryside came immediately.
On the day of leaving home, Tang Yijie was still engaged in "four qing" in HuangCun, Le Daiyun left home alone, and occasionally when she turned back, she saw Mr. Tang Yongtong waving at her through the glass door.

In the lofty mountains on the outskirts of Beijing, Le Daiyun carried stones, built reservoirs, and built pig pens, and because she refused to admit guilt, she was not allowed to go home to visit her relatives. In her agony, literature saved her. When she was sad, she silently recited Vucic's words: "I love life and fight for it..."
The one who gave her courage was her husband, YuIchisuke. Despite the criticism and warnings, he insisted on writing to her weekly, with envelopes insisting on calling her "comrade." Unsurprisingly, he was exposed and criticized. Despite his involvement with her, he always trusted her, loved her, and never thought of leaving her.
"If I hadn't believed him then, I would have collapsed!" His letter gave her hope, courage and strength, and she would wear the most vivid turban even on the darkest, most low days.
At the end of 1962, Le Daiyun became a "rightist who took off his hat" and was allowed to return to Peking University. But then, a bigger disaster came, and this time, Yuichisuke didn't hide. He was kept in the Philosophy Building and could not be released until eleven or twelve o'clock at night.

"It's important that I sit there", for two or three months, she was rain or shine. In the most sinister days, they always lived and died together, trusted each other, and "never once thought of death."

In 1969, Tang Yijie and Le Daiyun took their son to Liyuzhou, Jiangxi Province, to undergo labor reform, in this desolate land, they planted rice, planted vegetables, and built their own houses, because they had to make mud into bricks, and Le Daiyun's legs were soaked in water all day, thus falling ill.
Fortunately, the family is together, which is the greatest luck and happiness. No matter how great the suffering, if you share it with your loved ones, the suffering will become half.
More than 20 years of turmoil have finally passed, survived the winter, and they have ushered in an academic spring.

In 1978, Tang Yijie and Le Daiyun resumed their work one after another, knowing the year of destiny, they seized the time to study, write articles, and conduct research. He synthesized the words of various schools to construct a system of Chinese philosophical theory, while she "started from scratch" and became a pioneer of comparative literature.
Since then, they have regained the habits of their youth, and at dusk they always walk along the unnamed lake to exchange academics.
Le Daiyun is active in her thinking, quick to accept new things, and the ideas she put forward are often adopted by Tang Yijie; and she does things with a big grin, and he will also remind and supervise in time to make her do more meticulous and rigorous research.
On the campus of Peking University, the February orchid by the lake, the unknown small flowers, the birds in the trees, together with their figures, have become a romantic and warm scenery.
Academically, they complement each other and are harmonious in life. Two people who love nature often join hands to see the most magnificent glaciers, the most flowing clouds, and the Baltic Sea and the Rhine River have left their backs holding hands. No matter where she went, she would always buy all kinds of rabbits for him, because he belonged to rabbits.
In order to promote Chinese culture from tradition to modernity, Tang Yijie worked hard, and at the age of 76, he initiated and presided over the "Confucian" project that exceeded the scale of the "Four Libraries", and by that time, he had been diagnosed with cirrhosis.
Despite concerns about his body, Le Dai Yun chose to support, she knew, it was a dream he had since the 90s.
60 years of support and companionship, he was hospitalized, she also "hospitalized", just to accompany him;
She had bad legs, and when he was walking by the lake, he grabbed her clothes for fear that she would fall;
She had a serious leg disease and could not travel with him, and he said generously: "As long as you are accompanied, sitting at home and watching the clouds, it is also beautiful." ”
In his later years, they co-authored "Two Little Birds Walking Together on the Shore of an Unnamed Lake", and in the preface, Yuichisuke was quite pleased:
"The two little birds on the shore of the unnamed lake are an ordinary pair that does not fly high and does not fly far, they like freedom, but they are often in a cage; they yearn for leisure, but they are always entangled in mundane things! Now, the birds have become old birds, but they are still walking around the lake. ”
From youth to twilight, in the presence of the unnamed lake, he led her, snuggled up to each other in the wind and rain, and flew together in the sun. But he was the one who let go first.
On September 15, 2014, the farewell ceremony of Tang Yijie's body was held at the Babaoshan Funeral Home, and on that day, Le Daiyun, dressed in a black suit, endured grief and comforted everyone with a smile.

Hand in hand for more than 60 years, loyal love has achieved two academic masters, philosophers have withered, and the two birds that accompany them on the shore of the unnamed lake have become the beauty of the deep memory of Peking University students.
He was gone, and she wasn't alone. On the wall of the living room, there is a large picture of him, and under the gaze of "Old Tang", Le Daiyun talks and laughs with young people, and his pen is not quitting.
