Reporter: Wilson is close to £12 million in transfer to Fulham, and the player has left Liverpool training camp

Liverpool winger Wilson is close to moving to Fulham for £12 million, according to Liverpool Echo reporter Paul Gorst, a deal that is likely to be confirmed in the next 48 hours.

Paul Gorst revealed wilson left Liverpool's pre-season training camp in Austria last night and he is close to moving to Fulham for an estimated £12m transfer fee.

Liverpool initially asked for £15m, but the two clubs eventually agreed on a £12m fee, which, combined with the £5m loan fees received by Wilson on previous loans, would bring back a total of £17m in wilson.

Born in Liverpool's academy, wilson, 24, whose current contract expires in 2023, was loaned to Cardiff City last season, playing in 39 games, scoring seven goals and providing 12 assists.
