Chinese People's Liberation Army has cultivated and refined into today's steel division in the struggle against difficulties. From the Nanchang Uprising, the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the War of Liberation, to the flood relief and earthquake relief in the era of peace. Today, we have selected precious photos that record these key moments, restoring the historical footsteps of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, with iron blood and warmth.
The predecessor of the Chinese People's Liberation Army was the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army, which remained after the Nanchang Uprising. On August 1, 1927, the first gunshots rang out in Nanchang City, and a new type of people's army stepped onto the stage of history. In September 1927, in the autumn harvest uprising that followed, the Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army for the first time openly raised the revolutionary banner of the Communist Party of China. After five agrarian revolutionary wars, anti-Japanese wars and liberation wars against encirclement and suppression, it was renamed the Chinese People's Liberation Army after merging the Eighth Route Army, the New Fourth Army, and the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Army in 1949.
"People's Soldiers" is the affectionate name of the common people for the Chinese People's Liberation Army, including the army, navy, air force, rocket force, armed police and reserve forces. It is full of the deep affection of fish and water that breathe together and share a common destiny between the people's army and the common people. The meaning of "people's children and soldiers" not only means that the PLA originates from the people, but more importantly, that the PLA is the armed force of the people who serve the people wholeheartedly.
The War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression

98 flood control
During the flood season in 1998, heavy rains in some parts of China were affected, especially in the Yangtze River Basin, which had another basin-wide flood since 1954, and the Songhua River and the Nen River experienced exceptionally large floods that exceeded the historical record. In the face of serious flood disasters, the people's children and soldiers went all out to fight floods and rescue dangers.

08 Snow disaster
Since January 10, 2008, a wide range of natural disasters such as low temperatures, rain, snow and ice in China have damaged the electrified catenary of the Hunan section of the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, a major railway artery connecting the north and south, resulting in the cancellation of many trains. At its peak, more than 2 million passengers were stranded in and around Guangzhou Railway Station. Again, the people's children and soldiers maintain order outside the railway station 24 hours a day.

Wenchuan earthquake
At 14:28:04 on May 12, 2008, the 8.0 magnitude earthquake in Wenchuan, Sichuan Province, was located at the junction of Yingxiu Town and Xuankou Town in Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province. This was the most destructive and widespread earthquake since the founding of New China. 18 minutes after the earthquake, the Office of the Military Leading Group for Handling Emergencies issued an earthquake situation circular, and the People's Liberation Army emergency plan was urgently activated.
