Quang Nam County Oil Tea Trees Bear "Rich Fruit"

Guangnan County of Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture sent technicians to the front line to use scientific and technological strength to speed up the cultivation of camellia oleifera, so that camellia oleifera trees can bear "rich fruits" and barren mountains can become green mountains, which not only increases the income of farmers, but also protects the ecological environment.

Camellia oleifera is planted

In the Laolong Oil Tea Base in Liancheng Town, Guangnan County, only to see the undulating mountainside, the oil tea forest is lush, and the workers are waving hoes one by one, under the guidance of the technical staff of the Oil Tea Research Institute of the Yunnan Academy of Forestry and Grassland Sciences, scattered in all corners to weed and fertilize the oil tea trees. They not only learned the management technology of camellia oleifera, but also worked in the base to achieve income. Liu Wenlan, a villager in Laolong Village, Liancheng Town, Guangnan County, said that this oil tea base comes to work every day, 100 yuan a day, and 3,000 yuan a month.

Guangnan County is a national key county of camellia oleifera, a national demonstration county of woody oilseeds and one of the ten key counties of camellia oleifera in Yunnan Province. In recent years, we have increased policy support for new planting, quality improvement and efficiency improvement, and transformation of low-yield forests. Combined with poverty alleviation and a new round of returning farmland to forests, the subsidy for new planting of oil tea is 3,000 yuan / mu, the transformation of oil inefficient forests is 1,500 yuan / mu, and the quality and efficiency improvement are 2,000 yuan / mu. At the same time, relying on the Institute of Camellia Oleifera of Yunnan Academy of Forestry and Grassland Sciences, it has undertaken technical work such as selection and breeding of fine varieties of camellia oleifera, breeding of seedlings, and efficient cultivation for the scientific and technological development of the camellia oleifera industry in Guangnan County. At present, the county has completed the planting area of 676,300 mu of camellia oleifera, of which: 476,300 mu of new oleifera tea, 200,000 mu of old camellia oleifera forest, driving the masses of 10,701 households and more than 50,000 people.
