At the donation ceremony, Yang Xiaolian, son of Mr. Yang Zicai and former editor-in-chief of China Tourism Newspaper, introduced the intention to donate and the specific content of the donated cultural relics and paintings. "In July this year, the original idea was to donate several cultural relics related to Guilin from the personal collection to the Guilin City Museum: the calligraphy works of Chen Jichang, the head of the Qing Dynasty, the calligraphy couplet of Bai Chongxi, the warlord of the Republic of China, and the calligraphy couplet of the Qianlong Chaoyan calligraphy of the Qing Dynasty Guilin Jinshi." he said. When the leaders of Guangxi Normal University learned of this matter, they took the initiative to contact me personally, hoping to donate the relevant cultural relics to the newly established Guixue Museum of Normal University. Yang Xiaolian was impressed by the sincerity of He Zubin, president of Guangxi Normal University, and offered to donate his father's calligraphy and paintings and a batch of cultural relics from his own collection to the Guixue Museum in the name of his parents. Among them are the calligraphy works of Chen Jichang, the Jiaqing Champion of the Qing Dynasty, the calligraphy couplet of the Qianlong Chaoyan of the Guilin Dynasty of the Qing Dynasty, the calligraphy couplet of bai Chongxi, the warlord of the Gui clan of the Republic of China; the works of contemporary comic master Wang Yu, the sketches of Chen Yuxian, the master of Chinese painting, Hu Jieqing, the wife of Lao She, Sun Xiaoyun, the current chairman of the China Book Association, Li Banli, former chairman of the Sichuan Book Association, and General Zhao Keming, former political commissar of the National Defense University. Ancient ceramics and miscellaneous items include painted pottery in the Yangshao cultural period, a pair of Northern Wei pottery figurines, four series bottles of Cizhou kiln in the Liaojin period, Yunnan Yuxi kiln yuan qinghua jade pot spring vase, Ming Jiajing yellow glaze large bottle, "Daming Jiajing year system" model on the mouth edge, Large jar of Southern Ming Qinghua Miscellaneous Treasure Map, Kangxi multicolored plate, early Qing Dynasty blue and white architectural components, Qing Dynasty blue and white wolf tooth stick porcelain head ancient weapons, and so on.
At the donation ceremony, Professor He Zubin, President of Guangxi Normal University, said, "We are deeply touched by your generosity, affection and love! The donated cultural relics, calligraphy and paintings are of great value, these precious cultural relics are fine products, and their historical value, artistic value and scientific value are priceless treasures. This is a fortunate event for the collection of cultural relics in domestic universities, and it is also a major event in the cultural circles of Guilin, and it will also become the treasure of the Guixue Museum. We will plan the collection display of the thematic museum! President He Zubin issued a donation certificate to Yang Xiaolian, and Professor Huang Weilin, director of the Guixue Museum of Guangxi Normal University, signed a donation agreement with Mr. Yang Xiaolian. In recognition of Mr. Yang Xiaolian's selfless dedication, Guangxi Normal University awarded Yang Xiaolian honorary professor, and President He Zubin issued a letter of appointment to him.
